- In our first series introduction to Blue Watch, we learn that the Blackwall Boys are gathering money for charity using old brigade equipment only for it to come up missing and trigger an investigation by the police. In terms of shouts a cat gets caught up a tree, Vaseline's boots catch fire at a house fire leading to a hospitalization, a yuppie gets cemented in his toilet by some robbers, and a depressed elderly woman commits suicide by jumping into a carriageway causing a massive accident.
I loved this program so so much. It was killed off when it turned into a soap. We’ll never experience something so good as this. Die hard LB fans know exactly what I’m on about.
Nah, it was a load of bollox fella.
Good riddance!
Yes, they will n3ver be another blackwall because they killed it too late, and all the plots in 2002 were shite
Agree, same as The Bill, eventually went too soapy and daft irrelevant storylines
I Agree With You The Last Two Series Was An Insult The Last Theme Was The Worst Ever Sicknote Deserved A Better Send Off So Did Recall It Turned In To Hollyoaks With Firefighters It Is On The Drama Channel In The UK And I Am Watching It Again Fantastic Show That Got Fucked Over 😢
i agree. it got awful later on, i stopped watching it
This show was very close to my heart. My Dad was LFB until 1983. He was watching the pilot/film when he passed away in Dec 86. Proper mans man. Miss him and think of him every time i see episodes of London's Burning. Thanks for posting these. 💙
I remember watching the pilot and was absolutely hooked from the start… it must be so tough for you to have such a painful memory re the pilot, yet at the same time, such pride in your Dad’s work and how London’s Burning showcased it for years. I love watching the old series, but feel old and wonder where the years went… x
Absolutely fantastic! That road accident scene was exceptionally well done, but, best of all, are the warmth of the characters, the script, as well as a pretty fine score by Roland Rivron and Simon Brint.
Except for the morphing fire appliances!
Can’t believe this was the starter of a long running series, live on London’s Burning!!!
Coming back to watch this over again as I enjoyed it the first time, I'm at the part where Dorothy has been buying all sorts of stuff with credit cards which Tony knew nothing about. She says it's not her fault and, in a way, she's right. I've had many forms to fill in from banks for credit cards, but I've thrown every one in the bin. They play on the weak and gullible who are most likely to accept. It's tragic for many people who haven't a hope of paying, but for some it is an illness who get a thrill out of buying things they can't pay for, and worry about that later. I have never owned a credit card in my life and I'm 73 years old. I will always remember my dad's words to me that "if you can't pay in cash, you can't afford it" and I've stuck by that. Never a lender nor a borrower be. (Shakespeare).
I agree with everything you've said except that it's not her fault. If you know you're sick, then you get help. Just like if you were addicted to anything else.
Great TV series from 1986 to 2001 ,Was only 13 when it started up as a pilot then in 1988 aged 15 it was TV Gold 🥇Along with Soldier Soldier from 1991 to 1997,Great television 📺
Thank you for this. I loved London's Burning so much, but had never actually seen this very first, feature length episode. An absolute joy to watch, so very grateful to you for uploading.
You're very welcome! Glad you got to enjoy the episode in its entirety!
The woman in blue bottom right is my mum. Yes, really, in mid eighties she was visiting me, I live in East Street, near the market where that scene was shot. She died last year imprisoned in a "care home" alone due to the covid shit.
disgusting
You could have taken her home tbh.
Goodness. I'm very sorry for your loss.
@@paxundpeace9970what a nasty piece of work you are…
Like most others on here who have commented, I used to love London's Burning when it was first on TV. All the characters are great and were well cast. I particularly love that old fire appliance they were dragging onto the street. What a beautiful piece of machinery, but during the time they were actually in use, it must have taken an awful lot of strength to get it to where it needed to be as it couldn't be driven, unless it ran on steam, and even then it would be slow. 😀
Best Episode for me
22:32 An unforgettable and very much missed comedy drama
It was killed off a few series too late for me but for a whole decade it was really good and a must watch with great characters and decent storylines. I miss it.
Firefighters are so brave
42:08 that same house was used for the scene of a crash in The Bill series 2 episode 7 "Ringer", funnily enough with a Shelvoke LFB pump parked in much the same position as here, though it would've been 2 or 3 years earlier.
Londons Burning was awesome from series 1 to series 9 then the remaining 5 series went crap
Absolutely agree.
Hey could you do more of these episodes? I injoy watching them 😊
I would be thrilled to upload more! Just a matter of sourcing the episodes and uploading them! Thanks for watching❤️
41:26 that toss and call face was so calm and cool.
Love this show a lot!🚒👨🚒
Yes even though this is scripted and stuff Sodium Chlorite was lethal on the uniforms back then 😂
Still got my white helmet from those years
Really? And what do you mean by "from those years"
Those helmets and gear was from the 80s and all gear changed in 1990
Magic helmet 😉🤣

Hi Jack, is there anyway you can add the missing series and episodes especially in series 2, wonderful Londons burning would be nice to be able watch all series if that's available?
One of the best itv drama series i had ever encountered in the early 1990s but after station officer tate left it didn't seem the same as much afterwards.
This is gold dust...
I Usedto Watch This Year's Ago. 😀👍.

@@Ytnzy250 lmfao! CID was fuming!
You know, I didn’t realize at the moment of first episodes until later that they had two different appliances at the station, they had the Dennises during the night and the other kind during the day and shots back at the station.
I thought that, but at the RTC the dennis's are seen leaving the station but its the other ones on the scene?
The show doesn’t use the Dennis appliances until Series 4 which look different to those featured in the turnout shots. The production team used clips of the real Dockhead appliances turning out even though they are completely different machines.
Yes the footage used is the real LFB appliances based at Dockhead at the time NYV702/3Y Dennis SS 131 Model, the Dennis models used from Series 3 are RS 133 models which LFB never had in reality and are actually from South Yorkshire.
I see that the "Duke" has changed sides!
Its being repeated from beginning including this film version (into 2 parts) on drama channel this week May 30th 2024 🔥🚒🔥🚒
Two future EastEnders actors in this episode. Ross Boatman and Jamie Foreman.
Three. There is also Tony Caunter who played Pat Butcher's second husband, Roy Evans.
Not forgetting Ross Boatman who played Kevin Medhurst and now Harvey Monroe
@@jamiegreenwood4159 I said Ross Boatman.
Yep
you also missed out steve woodcock at 1:34:07. he played clyde
How the world has changed in the years since this.
David looks a bit like Norman Price except the ginger hair
1:21:15 it makes sense that there’s a car crash as it the most common emergency
Hello
Can u post S7 E10,11 and e12
when you watch this its like fireman sam with that kid david who looks like norman price
Indeed and George Green looks exactly like Elvis Cridlington with his dark hair and fireman's uniform
Londons Burning went Woke in the late 1990s do it ended up broke. The early to mid 1990s was the best.
Squashed cat humor? Definitely shows a lack of creativity. A bitter cup of tea to start it all off. Puke.
When men ,were men!👊
