Just cycling the slide a few times will remove finish from the barrel, both along the length and at the hood. After a few hundred rounds it will be very worn. It looks like the same finish as the USW. I plan to either parkerize the barrel, or cerakote it. Either finish would hold up longer than B&T’s. I notice that the Sphinx has a lot less wear with many more rounds through it. Not a big issue. I love the B&T. It’s been discontinued. B&T will be producing their own pistol as a striker fired weapon. I just bought a second one at a sale price. It’s going to stay in the bag as an investment. I have several 9mm’s in HK, Sig, CZ, FN. The MK II always goes to the range.
I have many b&t firearms..sphinx went out of business bnt bought the tooling n made there own version off off sphinx..both are essentially a high end cz 75..w out cz there would be alot of guns never made..love the apc9 and my mark 2 and my apc 223 and 308....
The warning come in all TUV (EU) market firearms. They are required in English and market language. B&T probably didn't know they weren't needed in the US.
RMR is always the answer. If you are buying an expensive gun, pay the extra for the Trijicon. Orange followers on the mags would be nice. For the money, you should get 3 mags and the other grip panels IMHO. The case is a nice touch, but do you really use it? Mine guns either are in a holster, in a range bad with other guns or in the safe. Thanks for the comparison, very helpful,
Problem is, the slide cut was only made for the Shield rms. But, the Holosun 407K and 507K are the same footprint and I installed the 407K. Only needed to file down the silver dowels that come with the MKII from 4mm to 3.8mm. The Holosun fit perfectly after that.
So, is it possible to swap the slide from the MK2 onto the Sphinx and using the Sphinx barrel and spring? I carry my Sphinx but am interested in the possibility of adding the ability to carry an optic on it.
Possibly but I'll use my 'do at your own risk' disclaimer. Perhaps reach out to B&T to get their take. They may say 'yes it will fit' however they will state they accept no responsibility. But if you get the B&T just for the slide, why don't you just carry the MKII instead of the Sphinx?
Excellent close up up comparisons of truly unique handguns. KRISS SPHINX SDP, B&T MKII, and PHOENIX FUSION in different variants. Wonder if any significant changes were done to the interior? PEACE
I like my Mk II a lot - I would assume any holster designed for a Sphinx SDP will work, but what do you use? Also I like the manual safety shelf as you mentioned, but I would like the on/off to be a little more definitive. Maybe a stronger detent spring or something. Have you given that any thought? I know it will not be like my Ed Brown safety, but something a little tighter would be very nice.
Yes, a Sphinx SDP holster will work, however you would need to open up the bottom of the holster to accommodate the threaded barrel (at least in the holster I have). Yes, perhaps a stronger detent spring would work on the safety, I know a few other folks had mentioned that more of a tactile lock/unlock feel would be preferred.
Thank you for this great video. I just picked up mine today. What would you recommend adding to this beutiful pistol to take it up a notch? BTW I was told Trijicon doesnt have a green dot for this pistol, true? They sugest that I get a HE507C-GR-X2 from Holosun
Only thing I added was the Holosun and it's a perfect fit. The only thing you will need to do is file down those stainless pins that came with the MKII. They are 4mm now, you need to take them to 3.8 or less to get the Holosun to fit properly. Congrats on the pistol!

So, I'll answer but it won't really be an answer. The USW is a beast all by itself as it's an SBR. The MKII is an excellent pistol and an upgrade from the Sphinx with the threaded barrel and the cut for an optic. The Sphinx overall fit and finish is significantly better than the other two. So, what is 'better' would need to be determined by the specific use.
Forgive my ignorance, I’m new to the firearm hobby, ... but what is the relationship between the B&T and the Sphinx SDP? Aren’t they the same guns? Does B&T just soup up existing products??
From what I understand, Sphinx went bankrupt and B&T bought the remaining inventory and tooling. They then released the MKII based on the inventory they acquired.
From what I understand, B&T bought the remaining inventory and patents from Sphinx and Sphinx went bankrupt. Phoenix was founded by the owner of Sphinx. Hence the similarities between the three brands. This is what I understand, but not stating it's 100% accurate.
@@MrMravery what I noticed is that the B&T has the same hammer of the latest Phoenix Fusion pistols rroduction. Yes, Phoenix was founded by the owner of Sphinx, and pobably they holds the Sphinx patents after they left Kriss.
Not really. You can take the folder off (it's actually off when you buy it as a pistol because once you add it, it becomes an SBR) but the frame and slide are different. Internals are the same.
Isn't it essentially a CZ 75? I know the mags are the same, and the slide rails are modeled after CZ 75. I thought virtually everything is interchangeable
Any holster that would fit the Sphinx SDP would work, however you would need to open up the bottom of the holster to accommodate the threaded barrel (at least on the one I have anyway).

So does the b&t mark 2 use cz 75 mags? Also will it shoot the federal 115 if the springs and ehat not isn't messed with? Like right out of the box will it shoot them?
Yes, it should use the 17 rd CZ mags. Yes, out of the box, 115 Federal was fine, it was because I swapped out the lighter hammer spring that I got light primer strikes on a couple of rounds.

The cut-out groove on the barrel is for an O-ring to keep the suppressor from coming loose. A feature stolen from HK Tactical
If so, they should have included the O-ring.

Guess I'd say the B&T because of the Optic mount.
