You don’t qualify at 16th place. The whole point is that both juries and televotes would have put Croatia through, but when combined it didnt and its the first time its ever happened.
not really...There was no separate jury and televotes in 2012. Those were combined. Bulgaria received same amount of points as Norway - 45. But Norway received points from 11 countries, while Bulgaria only from 10. So Bulgaria lost the tiebreak and havent made it into finals

There should be a rule stating that if you are top10 on both charts then you go through automatically, even if it means that 10+ countries will go through... This will just be a win win... No robberies & extra suspens
I suggest a method where jury and televote qualifiers automatically qualify, whilst the remaining countries - those that juries and viewers disagree on - will have to qualify based on the number of points. Rankings would be between finalists and non-qualifiers respectively based on point totals, thus putting Croatia 10th and Norway 11th, despite the latter one recieving a higher point total.
@@eliaasschultz2685 Awful idea. Imagine a fan favourite not qualifying despite being extremely high in jury/televote because it somehow ended up out of top 10 for the other side and some mediocre song managed to get 10th in both. Imagine songs like Belgium 2017 and Norway 2019 not qualifying this way.
@@tasthar3505 Not a very good argument. Due to Norway 2019 and Belgium 2017 being ”extremely high” in jury/televote they would have qualified, also due to juries and televoters disagreeing on the results of a certain amount of songs. Such a method would target the countries with lower scores, 9th-10th place for instance. Analyzing the editions since 2016, one will find that the Croatia/Norway situation is the only one where this rule would have affected the outcome, and the two nations were only separated by five points. @@eliaasschultz2685 Still, although the chances of favourites getting screwed by it are low, they are never 0. And making it affect only 9th-10th places would be too specific and unnecessary.
