It can go up and down, forward and backward, turn left and right and do 360°turning around like a real one. 3 motors installed to control the Static Diving, Propeller & Rudder system respectively.

Do you have to cover the socket under the submarine as I have nothing in the box to do that?

I have one, it can Hover but it won't stay at level well.
Mine doesn't steer left or right either, buttons just move it forward . No steer.
