Great video. Im thinking of doing mine myself and this was just what i was looking for. How well did the foul free paint work out? Did it keep slime and barnacles off? Thanks

Glad it was helpful. The PropSpeed foul free has worked well. Not inexpensive but worth it. 18 months with no fouling.

Thanks for the vid - I have a 2011 BW 345 Conq, same transducer, ‘no data source’ message appears on the fish finder, do you think my transducer needs replacing. What made you replace yours - Thanks

Mine was showing a very weak signal. I had the transducer tested by a tech with the Airmar testing equipment which confirmed it. If you’re getting “no data source” that’s more of an issue between the sounder unit and the display. Could be the sounder unit itself or the connection/communication to the display.

Try resetting the sounder in the sounder setup menu on the display.

It was painful to watch this ducer removal. It takes 5 minutes. Get a 4" grinder with a cutting wheel and cut the nut in half. Put a oil filter strap wrench on the ducer and spin it a few times, give it a wack and it falls out.

Not sure how you could cut the nut in half without cutting the fiberglass. I like the strap wrench idea to spin it free but unless you cut through the sealant on the flange on the bottom of the hull, it can be really stubborn to break free especially if 5200 was used. Lots of options - I wanted to present what worked for me. If it was painful - so sorry to waste your time (sarcastic) but thanks for the comment anyway!

Glad you mentioned that. I'm going to have the same problem. Original transducer from 93 and it looks a wood piling from the Alcatraz era. Speed wheel transducer came off easy, this one was not budging.
