Carving a kayak spoon

A kayak spoon is one designed for tough stuff. It's a sturdy spoon that is favoured by kids, campers and people who have packed lunches!
This video was made in conjunction with Image of the Week; an educational resource programme recently launched by JONK and the Michael Aldrich Foundation. I was paid to create an educational video to teach people about carving a kayak spoon. Aiming to promote heritage and traditional craft.
It is a learning tool that can be paired with my shrink pot used in IOW to show my making process and the tools I use in my wood work.
