As a newer lifter who’s developing his home gym, I really appreciate the suggested movements at the end! Very creative movements!
Yeah. But this is a low priority when building a gym. If you have a complete setup maybe. Spend money on a rack, bars, and plates first. Then get the other stuff.
Wild Bill will do! I appreciate the advice!
@@bmstylee wouldnt make much sense to buy jammer arms if you dont have a rack, bars, and plates, as you wouldnt be able to use the arms. I guess you could curl them?
@@leefhead1 just need a rack and bands.
A lot of people are going to say they're pointless or too expensive. These people are wrong. They allow you to essentially have 90% of the machines from a gym at home.
Are they essential? No
Can you get big and strong without them? Yes
Are they an excellent addition to a home gym? 100% yes
Mark handley Well said
which rogue length would you think you would get the most use from
What can you do with these that you can't do with a barbell though? I cant think of anything at all
@@getstrongby4038 Just more variation. I would say that most won't need them- and that they are probably the last thing to buy. It's a nice edition- but not mandatory
thespiritbomb build it & make a video
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the czcams.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
I will never buy lever arms but I'm still here watching this review because I love Coop's reviews so much! Great stuff! That being said, if I ever were to sell a piece of equipment and wanted a good review from Coop, the key would be to use stainless steel and add knurling everywhere lol
fencingrocks3 : and laser cut logos...NO STICKERS !...
Whichever one knocked out Antonio Brown, that's the one I like
Haha that would be Sorinex
You win
Lmao from Pittsburgh
Lloooool
I love seeing stuff from older videos in the background. It feels like a Stan lee cameo in a marvel movie
I find the short version of the arms much more useful. Rogue also has the new rotating handles that make other exercises even better. Every bench, shoulder and row variation you can think of.
I have the articulating handles, and they are way better for sure. I also do agree that the short arms are more flexible as they fit inside the rack and can be used in conjuction with safeties.
Coop got tired of all the comments about his physique and made the preview pic crazy swole! 💪🏼
It's funny that people would even care about whether he's buff or not. You don't need to be the Hulk to provide good lifting equipment reviews
New bodybuilding program + filters = jacked Coop
Chip Gause lol he’s still super small
@@NaturalHypertrophy no but it helps if you at least look like you lift a little bit
Can you do an in-depth review of the Sorinex Apex rack? I want to get one but there isn't much reviews on how the cables move and how it feels, etc. You have a review on your website from a few years ago but its not really in-depth and I would love to see an indepth video on it. Please and thank you
I plan to get one of these power racks with attachments in the future after I make space in my garage gym.
Hopefully Rogue is planning to come out with more attachments for their trolley system; leg press plate, knurled straight bar for presses or squats etc.
I love both but Rogue's takes the edge. Can't wait to add some to the garage gym. Thanks for the review, Coop.
Coop, I believe the term you were looking for when you go to adjust the arm up and down is “popping and locking.” Never forget!
Nice video!
I went from a large Rogue rack down to an R-3 to save on space. I liked the idea of jammer/lever arms, but didn't think it would be something I'd ever purchase.
As always, there is no right or wrong. I liked seeing the exercises being done. Very creative people.
jammer arms look awesome to give you the Hammer Strength plate loaded machine experience for less cash in less space. I would definitely get those and lat pulldown/row bar and have full home gym in one cage area.
Great review as always. I dont have space in my garage gym, but it would be epic to get one.
You can even use it as a leg press, titan sells a leg plate for that purpose. Super versatile. People who don’t like these are just “free weights only bruh” peeps.
Henry Wong leg press?!
Not sure I would like that much weight outside my rack.
I Have a Basic Jammer Arms, same thing, different way of changing high.. Great piece of equipment, everyone should get them ..Since I got them Shoulder presses are my favorite lift. Most people don't even realize how heavy Jammer Arms are on their own. And with trolley they most weight 50kg each ..
I have a Sorinex Base Camp (Coop, your reviews were one of the biggest reasons I bought the Base Camp) with the Jammer Arm attachments. I LOVE my setup but after getting a close up look at Rogue's system, I have to admit Rogue wins this one. The small, attention to detail Rogue put in manufacturing these beauties really show.
Rogue is doing way more innovation now than Sorinex as far as I can tell since Sorinex sells mostly commercial to universities and sports teams and does not cater to home garage gym owners like Rogue does.
I see why you have so many followers. You do a great job. Very interesting videos!
11:08 Coop gettin Freaking with the knurled knobs!! :D :D
I can't figure the point of that last movement. He had weights on the pins, and bands working the reverse, so the bands negate the weight on the push, and the weights negate the band on the pull.
I was looking at that one going wait a minute, what....
Id love to get some, but I just don't know if they'd fit. bought a rack from a local company, supposedly 3x3, but they are actually a 1/8" bigger all around, so I can't fit safety straps or anything from the bigger companies. That's what I get for trying to support small business and avoid shipping fees! :)
Definitely won't fit, unfortunately. That's one thing that stinks about proprietary racks.
It reminds me of a Hammer Strength chest press. Super cool love the channel just stumbled upon it recently! I buy all my home gym equipment from Walmart do a series best home gym for the cheapest!
The rogue immediately appeals more as you don't have to deal with the width of the other unit.
I didn’t know these existed! Seems like a great idea for variety! Awfully expensive, but they do look like quality pc’s.
I have a set, but some of this stuff looks like the movement they are trying to recreate is way easier to achieve just using the original barbell or cable. I use mine for press and rows but but hey if it makes the odd gym compilation video set to music knock yourselves out. They make switching movements easier and cleaner. Best of all they make your rack look a like tank decked out for war.
I love jammer arms, they're totally cool and eye candy for me, but like a lot of others on here I think I'd end up not using them after teh novelty wore off.
this is amazing brother! super useful information! keep them coming :)
Are we just going to ignore the rust on the Sorinex stainless rack? 2:54
probably not stainless, likely the clear grind finish. Still, good point you make.
Sorinex charges about twice as much in shipping compared to Rogue for a rack for me. Also, the fact that I had to request a quote made me not want to buy their product.
Yeah, Rogue ships a lot more and therefore have better shipping prices than pretty much everyone. If you think Sorinex is bad, try ordering from EliteFTS
Those rogue trolley handles look just like the old m2 50bmg machine gun handle and trigger ,that's cool as fuck
cool vid, done some workout with them in the past, just a bit too expensive for my little home gym budget...… on a side note 14:51-15:08, made me laugh pretty good
Great video. Like the clips at the end too.
Hey Bud,
I love the content would you please considering doing a review on the Vendetta Strength Trolley's on your Rack with your Lever Arms?
Thank you.
I like gear as much as anyone, but these seem like $1000 down the drain to me.
Yep use Truck Straps much cheaper and same principle
Coop you should review Walmart’s new everyday essential bumper plates.
On it!
Garage Gym Reviews you are the best Coop. These have to be some of these most cost efficient bumpers I have ever seen. And no better person to review and give a detailed opinion of them.
I wished I could do the hip thust on mine but I don`t have an attachable pole.
DIY Henny System - Plus if you have Duffin's Kadillac Bar it makes it easier to do leg presses.
Are you gonna do a review on the Titan/Bells of Steel/Rep lever arms? I want to see if the more budget-friendly options are of any quality. Would those fit on an RM-3?
The real question is, can the Rogue handle be put on the Sorinex jammer arm?
Coop. Rep Fitness just released their "ISO Arms" for their PR 4000 and 5000. Racks. Because they are brand new, the only way I can really get a look at them is through REP's promo video. I'm curious of your first impressions. Thank you for all your reviews.
Would only use these for isolated incline press, deadlifts, rows, military press and maybe squats. I wouldn't swing the lever like a kettle bell though that seems dangerous. I would get these at $500 not $1000. If you were to compare the levers to a functional trainer machine then yes I would go for the functional trainer because cable machines have all the angles you will ever need.
That's a pretty good design for a home gym, it's like a modified military press?
I wouldn't get one but impressed with the design, lol.
will the rogue ones work on a sorinex rack ? Also will the rogue articulating handles work on the sorinex jammer arms ? Torn between which combo to get.
These look hokie. Also, what movement was that guy in the first example doing? Where is that movement pattern ever used in life? Starting a weed wacker, then yeeting it into the neighbor’s yard?
🤣
another great review, my only issue is how rogue made alot of changes to the lite version...
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the Lite version.
If money isn’t the issue which would u recommend RM6 w 50 cal trolley arms or sorinex base camp with jammer arms ?
Someone needs to start making lever/jammer arms that can also universal swivel for racks, like the Sorinex Hurricane. It will allow for many more movement's than just up or down. What's the complexity of moving the arms from the front post to the rear post ???
I have Rogue’s. They work great. Do I use them? Almost never
Get to it!
What does a rack with those jammer arms cost?
Hey John, do you not use them because they are too cumbersome or long? I've read some reviews that said they should have got the shorter length ones instead. I'm in the market now for some, but haven't pulled the trigger yet since I can't determine which length will work best for my set up.
David Maron Hi David. They are long, but I had Rogue send me the shorter ones, so I have both. I guess I don’t use them because I just found I preferred the barbell movements. They work great, but pre-COVID, I only had 60-90 minutes to lift before work. I didn’t like moving them around. Was easier to just use a barbell. For accessory work, I use my Rep FT-5000 multifunctional trainer. I like having the jammer arms more because outfitting the gym has become a hobby. If I were an athlete still (I’m a middle aged dad now), I might use them more for explosive jammer type movements, but I don’t know. I couldn’t recommend them for most people though. What were you planning on using them for?
@@johnchristian3387 Hi John, Thanks for the reply. I'd be using them to supplement my pressing movements: chest, shoulders, deadlifts, back workouts, and some leg work. I would use them with the safeties inside or outside the rack to rep out on lower weights or one arm lifts. I'm starting from scratch here in NorCal and wish I would have set up my home gym 2 years ago. It looks like you have to decide whether to mount them inside the rack or on the outside. So that would rule out any back and forth. I'm currently waiting for my Rogue RM-4 rack to arrive which sold out in a few hours once it became available. These lever arms became available the other day and were sold out in less than two hours! I saw that Rep functional trainer. That's a great piece for accessory work for sure. I'll keep doing my research. No rush here, but I appreciate your feedback and opinions!
struggling what to buy... rogue rack and trolly arms or rep rack and iso arms???
You can make this same system with gymnastic rings and running your barbell thru them.
Hey Coop! They look awesome but honestly I don’t think I would get them especially for the space that they would take up to store them and then not being able to use your rack with them on for other exercises I’m imagining. Great video 💯
you can attach your JCups to the lever arms themselves and use them as you would use the rack
I have these as well as a Functional Trainer. Definitely not a priority item for a Crossfitter but If you like Hammer Strength Style bodybuilding machines these can replicate many of them depending on the angle you set them at and where you but your bench.
Nice idea, but I'd imagine installing then removing them from the rack to do other exercises would get tedious after a while. Eventually, they would be relegated to a shelf.
Just throwing an idea on there, do you think the reason Rogue’s jammer arms don’t go back flush with the post, is too protect the paint on the post? No sure as never seen in person but from watching the video that’s all I can think of.
Coop, do you know if the Rogue arms will work on the Rep Fitness PR-5000 V2 racks?
Based on the specs, they should, but I haven't tried them for myself.
I’ll be looking for that video. Thanks in advance.
Ever try Titan’s TITAN series lever arms? Curious how they stack up against Rep’s ISO Arms.
Would you buy the Sorinex Adjustable Jammer Arms over the Rep Fitness ISO Arms? I got the PR-5000 V2 power rack and currently waiting for the ISO ARMS to be available on 1/31/22.
Does anyone know if the Rogue trolley will work on the Sorinex rack ? Wanted to make sure the hole alignment would work. thanks
Did you ever find out this answer?
@@brycerandall5049 yes. they are compatible at least what people that have them have told me. they are indexed off rear hole
Great video as usual ! Question .. i have a Fitness Gear Squat Rack from Dicks. Will any of the premium bands Rogue, Sorinex or Titan accessories fit my rack ? Thanks
I don't even have a rack right now so this is the most idle speculation possible, but I just can't see how I'd use these. They do seem neat and I like the idea but it's a big price
Seems like you can get more versatility for much cheaper from a Landmine.
Yes, a landmine is much cheaper and very versatile. For most people, it's the best option.
i have a PRX Profile® PRO Squat Rack with Multi-Grip Bar and was wondering if the Rogue or Sorinex jammers would fit
Coop, waiting in my first ever rack from Rogue. Would love a pair of these and will get them based on your review. Question. I ordered the RM3. Should I get the shorter arms that can be used inside or the ones you show that can only be used on inside? Ty.
Can you explain the attachments they are using in conjunction with the lever arms , for example the pulley's (JoshuaDobbie) and the Leg pads (Sorinex)... I see that Rep Fitness is coming out with them for less and want to get them to compliment my Rep 4000 Power Rack!!
Can you confirm that the rogue lever arm trolley will fit on the sorinex 3x3 uprights? My understanding is that the hole diameter and spacing are the same. I’ve read the blog that suggests yes, but am interested in your experience.
I want these so badly. I am just torn between Rogue 35” vs 43”. Is there enough advantage to having them inside the rack to offset the additional leverage potential from longer arms? I am also likewise torn between Monster and Monster Lite as I plan to upgrade from my SML-2 to a likely 6 post rack when I already have a ML matador, SAML spotter arms, and landmine attachments. I love the versatility of 3x3 with 1” holes but also the Wetside hole spacing as a solo home lifter re: spotter arms 🤔😬
I am buying the Sorinex xl rack. Which jammer arm would you go for. Rogue or Sorinex
Can we use these on the PR-5000 v2 rack from Rep?
Coop. Rep is releasing theirs right now. I think you know what you must do xD
I like jammer arms, but it seems like their main benefit is allowing people to turn their rack into a smith machine without feeling bad about the undeserved hate they get.
nah more like Hammer Strength plate loaded multi station gym to do presses and rows in cage
Coop, would the jammers work if you swapped them? Rogue Jammers with Sorinex rig or Sorinex Jammers with a Rogue Rig.
Hey Coop, so i've been looking at some of your reviews lately and it seems that, regarding quality, it all comes down to these two: Sorinex and Rogue.
What shall i do? Once again, i am looking for the ultimate rack with as many pull up attachments as possible (as well as other attachments!).
I know there's not really a right answer to the question, for i know these are the two true titans in the industry, but bear with me. And also remember that i am based in Europe...
Thanks.
Do you have any suggestions about interchangeable rack accessories between brands? I have a Titan x3, 24in depth and I love it. But a lot of the extras (j cups, etc..) from titan are kinda crappy.
Great videos btw...
Has anyone tried the rogue 50 cal arms on a rep fitness pr5000?
Do you know a good jammer arm for 3x3 that doesn’t have holes on all four sides? Love to hear your thoughts!
How close are they to hammer strength chest press setups, looks like they only go straight up and down where the hammer strength follow a more curved upward path, would you say they are comparable
Is there a hack to put these on a force USA MyRack
Very good video! Now, if I may ask a favor. Can you please recommend the right rack where I can add lever arms and utility seat for leg press? Sorinex has a utility seat that attaches between the lever arms to use as a leg press. Now, I was wondering if I could have the same thing with a Rogue power rack (like the RM3), lever arms, and utility seat. Also, if I end up getting the Sorinex lever arms, which Rogue power rack should I get?
Buying all this equipment does you no good if you don’t use it. Go to a gym for a few years and build a base of knowledge and strength though practice, reading, watching etc. Then consider spending thousands on all this crazy equipment. All you really need is a barbell, plates some dumbbell and simple rack.
In your or anyone’s opinion, wouldn’t jammer arms with j-hooks function like a monolift?
Hey Coop. What Titan rack are those rogue arms on? Are they compatible with other brands as well?
Thanks!!!!
Hey Coop, would you be able to fit the rogue trolley on Titan X3? Seems like you have the Titan series rack...so I assume it’ll work?
can i attach these to like a Cap Deluxe Power Cage? i might wanna get a pair.
Great video comparison!
Hey @Coop question, do you know or anyone else if either hammer arm set would go with the Titan T-3 Power Rack?
@garagegymreviews is there any type of attachment that will work to add lever bars, iso bars, or jammer arms to a fitness reality cage?
Hey Coop, @ 2:55-3:07 it looks like there's rust on the upright... looks like stainless steel- what happened / is that a sorinex rack?
Will any Jammer Arms work on PRX PRO
Hey coop, which would you prefer. The 38” or the 48” version? And why? I’m trying to decide on which ones to get.
I’m not tryna be mean but for a guy with a home gym nicer than some commercial gyms he doesn’t look like he lifts often
He has said he doesn’t do any weight training. Said it’s for pussies or something like that.
Du they have a jammer arm attachedment for hulk power cage?
Would you be able to use the rogue trolley and lever arm kit on the Sorinex rack?
Jammer arms look awesome. Thanks for the video.
You could also use them for shrugs
I bought the Ethos rack and have some regrets as its tough to find information on compatible accessories. Do you know if either of these fit on that Ethos rack?
price vs gains - I just don't see it - my best bang for the buck has been farmer walk handles from titan at $90 along with cobra grips to go the extra distance.
Hey, coop. I just received my rogue trolley Arms (short version) for my rm-6. Where do you think is an idle placement for the arms? Inside or outside of the rack?
I’m torn on if I should get the short arms or long arms.
These seem kind of pointless to me but great review
