Pretty easy to decide how much to spend on shards. Most of the newer characters don't go to fleet, so there's exactly 1 shard node to farm right now ;)
You should’ve had idens ship the tie defender in this guide idens node has her and the vulture droid then farm her ship on ship energy two ships one character for the price of two nodes not to mention iden makes a good early game imp team and she can help the empire fleet counter negiotiator and mav gleets
Where would you suggest we farm the purple gear for those G12+ pieces? Would that be the only thing you'd farm from the shard shop? Those pieces appear for GET2, but usually you'd want kyros for GET2. Then that only leaves MKII raid tokens which could be a decent idea, but the G12+ gold pieces are cheaper than the purple ones in regards of MKII currency.
Given how expensive those are in MK2 raid currency, it's not a terrible idea to farm them with ship energy. They have a much higher drop rate than golden right side pieces, so IMO you're better off buying those and farming the purple stuff.
Fleets take some time to get through, I only take it as far as I need then do farming until I need something else. Eventually I need to go for tie echelon but I got other stuff to farm first.
Echelon turns the first order fleet into a solid Exec counter. So unless you already have Exec or are close to it - or your Fleet shard is full of Profundities, it can be a very good idea to prioritize Echelon.
is going for the geo ships early on a bad strategy? I'm also farming aniken and boba's ship for what its worth. Malevolence into Negotiator then the long grind for Exec is currently the plan.
If your fleet shard is largely in the Negotiator/Malevolence phase, Malevolence is the straight up more useful ship. Plus, it can counter Profundity, albeit not as reliably as Exec.
If I never farmed gear 12 pieces and Fleet I would never relic a character in a timely manner You don't get enough shard Shop currency a day to fully supplement
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but if I have Slave 1 at 6 stars with 30/100 shards while the rest of my BH ships are at 5 stars with 40/85 shards, should I rely on fleet arena currency to get Slave 1 to 7 stars, or should I still farm it?
man i love your videos, keep up the great videos
Only missing the resistance fleet
nice video man
thanks for the tips

Echcelon is a nice side farm for a first order fleet. Really helps complete the set

I recommend geos as your early pilots because they’re so accessible

It's such a slog to play fleet battle as a newer player
I'll tell you what - it's a lot easier now with the fleets available than it used to be. Definitely not the most fun BUT much easier
