- Here's a review of the Chelsea Slim Card Sleeve Wallet made by Vaultskin with RFID blocking technology. Overall, it's a great elegant, thin, and simple to use wallet for those who seek a wallet with a minimalist design.

Let me know if you guys have any questions you want answered about the wallet in the comment section below!
My Chelsea slim card sleeve wallet went missing as of December 31st, 2019.
RIP (9/3/2017 - 12/31/2019)
All is good! My wallet was returned and it is back in use!
Great review! What do you think about the colors? How does the brown holds up compared to the black?
Thank you! I personally prefer the brown, but the other colors, like red, really pop out. I still have both, and I use the brown for almost everything, while the black sits at home-it is just too bulky to take anywhere.
what if I just used 1 or 2 cards in the centre slot from day zero. would it not stretch at all then & be fine?
yours looks like it didnt hold them in because it already seemed a bit stretched. it looks great so just wanted to make sure cards dont fly out
I think you should be okay-the cards will be a bit snug with even only one card. For reference, I just tried putting 1 and 2 credit cards in the center slot and after shaking vigorously in different ways, the cards are still in the center pocket.
Love it! Like your style of comparing Bananas :)
I have this wallet as well - I only have 3 cards in the center pocket - one drivers license and about 4 thin paper items ... the issue is that now I need to put in 5 Bills - and its a challenge. I think having a clip or strap would be better.
Interesting, the most number of bills I've put inside this wallet-back horizontal pocket-was 8 and it held them fine, while including 5 cards in the middle, 1 in the back horizontal, and 2 in the front vertical. Additionally, the sleeve still had ample storage for probably 5 more bills, but having 8 did slightly stretch out the sleeve making it look bulkier.
While money clips are nice and simple in design, I would be uncomfortable with the clip shifting due to forces pushing the money and cards from the sides, e.g. grabbing it out from your pockets at an angle. Additionally, making contact with the leather when grabbing the wallet is much nicer than touching grimy bills haha. Straps are also nice, but I seem to find that they do a poor job at keeping the money in place, either they are not tight enough or the money shifts due to friction-which I personally find aesthetically unpleasing haha. The great thing about the Chelsea wallet is that it keeps my bills sheathed so they do not easily fall out nor are they shifted when the wallet rubs against something.
Hi MIchael, nice review of the wallet, i see it was uloaded 2 months ago, can u give us an update on it and how it is wearimg in
Sure. I'm still using the wallet everyday and have made one slight modification since I made this video. The wallet is still completely functional and clean. Since the wallet is relatively small, there have been a coupe of instances where it has slid out of my pant pockets without my knowing while I was driving or laying down on my bed-they all happened when I wore sweatpants. Additionally, one modification I made was to keep bills-only a couple-held within the tighter more secure vertical pocket. I made this change after losing some bills while they were in the horizontal pocket, which was not as tightly bound and left the bills exposed to be pulled out or shuffled around through friction, e.g. rubbing against surfaces. I could have added more cards to make the pocket tighter, but this was a quicker and better fix for me.
hey Michael, I just got a similar wallet from Vaultskin (City wallet) I love the slim design man but it seems to me that the leather is not real! the texture looks a bit different from the one in your video! Simply put; it feels cheap and not durable which is why I'm considering sending it back, tell me what you think please, did yours seem that way when it was new?
I would send it back, ask for a new one, and determine whether or not it feels different, best.
Great review! Do you still use this wallet? How well is it holding up?
Yes, I use it everyday! It's holding up well, I recently put 8 bills inside the horizontal pocket and it handled it well-slightly stretches out the sleeve, but still compact and keeps the money firmly in place.
Is that with the bills folded only once? I hate to have to fold bills twice. If the bills fit into the horizontal spot with folding bills just once it may be better
I fold my bills twice hamburger style-which is how they are folded in the video haha. Folding it once, short edge to short edge or hamburger style, fits okay on the horizontal pocket, but extends about half a centimeter above the wallet making not as pleasant to grab, not to mention it looks a little "improper". Overall, I would not recommend using one folded bills with this wallet; I prefer two folded bills because they feel secure and fit nicely into the pouch.
Currently weighing up between this and the Bellroy Card Sleeve... which way would you swing?
I personally do not like how the pull tag sticks out on top of the Bellroy card sleeve; however, I like the two vertical pockets as opposed to horizontal pockets that are less snug and more likely to drop things, e.g. cards, cash, upon rubbing on something. Overall, both wallets are similar in functionality and looks, but I would still go with the Chelsea wallet because despite the less snug horizontal pocket, it's much more convenient and elegant to grab/slide cards out of than the more secure vertical pocket.
i would suggest the bellroy slim sleeve simply because it has a lot of space but still is slim has 2 slots for frequently used cards which come out easily and a slot for cash and also a small pocket for your other less used cars with the same pull cord technology it is a bill fold and it comes in a lot of different colors and its a bellroy so you know your getting quality
when i saw how up to 3 cards fall out Im not gonna risk it, and its not the cheapest
If you dont stretch it in the first place it will hold 1 or 2 cards. I use it for credit and debit.
How long do you think this will last?
I still use mine today; the only thing I have noticed is that the side with the cards placed horizontally is a little loose, meaning my cards will spill out if I drop the wallet or if I toss them into, for example, a drawer.
Do you still use this wallet man? Has the leather stretched any further?
I do. It will stretch if you put more cards into the pocket, and if you decide to remove one card it will initially be loose, but will tighten slightly over time. I currently hold 8 cards in the horizontal pocket and 2 in the vertical pocket.
