Making a Minimalist Leather Wallet (with RED edges!!!)
One of the most requested leather crafting projects we get is the minimalist leather wallet. This is a nice simple version of a minimalist leather wallet with two card slots and a bill slot - the leather wallet is minimalist in it's construction, made 4 layers thick with 2-3oz natural vegetable tanned leather. We made this minimalist leather wallet to be slim for a front pocket, but fit lots of cards if you need them! The leather wallet is made using natural vegetable tanned leather, and hand sewn with polyester threads. We then painted the edges a nice maroon color to fancy it up a bit, but a nice natural burnish on the edges of the leather would work just as well! When you're making a minimalist leather wallet, it's important to use a nice thin leather to keep the initial bulk of the leather wallet down - we chose a beautiful 2-3oz natural vegetable tanned leather that will resist stretch over time. - Jak na to + styl

Great job. Excellent presentation of work process. You pay attention to details and seems you have perfectionist personality. I have one small suggestion. Once you finish the product at the end make some more video time showing how it looks and works in practice. By showing how product is used we will get better impression on how really practical, useful and good looking the product is. But as I said videos are excellent already, this is some tinny improvement.

Wonderfull work i noticed you buffed the edges as well, is that a special kind of leather paint that allows you to buff it after it dries ?

Very nice! I tried making a wallet, turned out too thick in my opinion. It was suggested to me to use 4oz leather. I have since decided the 2-3 oz would have done better.
2-3oz is what we use mostly :) we'll use 4 or 5 oz for the outside shell of a bifold, but the rest will be 2 oz to keep things thin
