Where is it written in the Bible GOD changed his Priesthood, where is that scripture, The Mormons are saying Joseph Smith restored the gospel where is that scripture in the Bible
@james8996 Hi again. So, God changes nothing, but humans absolutely do. Its impossible for anyone to claim "god doesn't change" as an argument that theyre right, since they all disagree with eachother. Your question, its not a specific scripture, its an observance of the reality of our situation. However, God did follow a pattern in the Bible, which we can use to look for Him today. Mass confusion and the changing of Gods ordinances caused Him to call a Prophet; He taught him correct principles again to be taught to the people. Typically, just as today, the people back then would reject him, cast him out or kill him. Nothings changed.
Remember Moses when he led the children of Israel out of Egypt? God gave him the higher law in the mount but when he brought it to the people they had made and were worshipping a golden calf. In anger, he cast down the law that God had given him because he could see there was no way they would accept it. He then returned to the mount where he received the Ten Commandments and a lesser law by which to test their faith. When Jesus came to live among them centuries later, He told them that the law of Moses was fulfilled in Him. He then taught them with new authority and gave them a higher law. Much of this is detailed and explained in the book of Hebrews in the NT.
If you take the time to study it out and research a bit using both our modern and ancient biblical scripture, you'll come to realize that Adam, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and others all held this higher Priesthood, as did Melchizedek to whom Abraham paid tithes. Much of the original gospel has been removed and edited out of the Bibles we use today by the Judahizers and others. The Lord restored much of this lost knowledge by means of The Book of Mormon and through other revelation to Joseph Smith and modern Prophets. Some of this was what impressed Orson Pratt and many of the people who joined the church back in his day.
Do you believe all knowledge is recordered in the old and new testiment? What about allnthr books and accounts removed by priests unser direction of rome and kings? The bible is one source but if yiu believe the bible then you believe in prophets and revelation. Critics of the gospel havd always existed in the kives of all prophest, back to. Adam. Where will you be recorded in history? Matters s not to me. You have your fredom of choice. So do i. But do not attack you. As you do to others. This land will be almost wiped clean soon. You will see it happening and none will be able to stop it. The prophecies will unfold and all be fullfilled. Weather any believe or not.
