I must agree.I was 5 years old wwwwwaaaaayyyyy back in 1985 when this series hit our shores.The original Macross was the best.I still have Macross:Do You Remember Love? on DVD.It was released in 1984 I think.I always wanted to be just like Max Jenius.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Mix of audio and video. My brain is still processing how you mashed up Macross footage, with a Robotech soundtrack from Genesis Climber character's song.
IMHO, "Space Battleship Yamato", A.K.A. "STARBLAZERS", got the gift of being incredibly reimagined as "Space Battleship Yamato 2199" a few years ago. It was my first love with Robotech winning me over later. If they could do it for Yamato, somebody in Japan must be either pondering the possibility or is already on the case.
Okay, so late comment, but Japan has already done it several times over. Macross Zero, Macross Frontier, and Macross Delta as of the timing of this comment. We just haven't gotten to see them because of Harmony Gold holding down the license despite doing very little for Robotech. Thankfully, they said last year something about letting in the other Macross series.

1 Robotech no puede usar los diseños de Macross para futuras producciones animadas o live action. La propiedad de los diseños de Macross es de Big West Adversiting la dueña y productora de la franquicia Macross original y sus secuelas.
2 Harmony Gold no tiene ni de lejos el presupuesto para financiar por si sola una nueva producción animada para Robotech o ¿Por qué crees que hasta la fechas no ha salido nada nuevo?
Asi que en el único lugar donde estos diseños se pueden ver, usar y revisionar es el Macross original y sus secuelas.

I really wish they would make a modern version of Robotech/Macross. Just thinking about seeing Roy, Rick, Max and everyone with modern animation techniques and Technology gets me excited.
@@TocRat2009 well... Robotech is dead, but Macross is still going strong. You can try sourcing for Macross Frontier since it is using newer animation techniques with a great story as well... Plus it is a continuation of the story from the original series.

@@Castlevanius Macross Frontier is pretty awesome. It's has the best balance of everything Macross has to offer with a wicked score and music production by Yoko Kanno and drop dead nice animation. I don't usually like 2d mixed with 3d cell shaded models but they did an excellent job with it. Don't know why the following Delta didn't have the same quality control tho'.

Que animación maravillosa, suprema. Actualmente hay muchas malas remakes de series como Saint Seiya y Dragonball, si hicieran una actualización de Macross / Robotech con esta calidad respetando los diseños de mechas y protagonistas tal cual como se ve, conseguirían un tsunami de nuevos seguidores, sería un golazo! :D
Acerca de la música, el tema de Lancer es un temazo, esta versión rocker queda muy bien con la acción, la voz no desentona lo único que se puede objetar es que le falta un toque de fuerza vocal haciendo énfasis en el estribillo para subirle la emoción, tal vez haciendo arreglos de postproducción de audio como a los "artistas" de hoy en día.
Pero, por ser una obra particular y de fan esta MUY bien, un 8 sobre 10 fácil. Saludos!

Pero, volviendo a Macross, si no es una serie al menos una película para cines. Este clip le da mil vueltas a la última serie Macross Delta, que te hace doler los ojos de lo mediocre que es. XD
Youkai Andres sí, eso sería estupendo, macross tiene para dar todavía; algunos de la nueva generación le empieza a llamar la atención estas series antiguas, sería bonito resurgir la serie.
Si sacaran una nueva versión, Min Mei sería piloto, y Rick se dedicaría al canto.

Tal vez si la peli es japonesa, o norteamericana producida por el equipo de John Wick, por Tarantino (que le gusta el anime) ó Tom Cruise (que le gusta todo lo que tenga que ver con tecnología y armamento) tal vez así sería una buena película. No cuento a James Cameron porque luego de una aceptable Alita, esta produciendo la horrible versión 6 de "Femineitor".

To me Macross were as good as Star Wars, but, I'm watching Robotech/Macross with my son lately... I can say the anime got veeeeeery old and cheesy, compared to presents ones like "My Hero Academia" as an example.
