Speakers:
Shireen Akram-Boshar is a graduate student at the University of Houston, member of the editorial board of Spectre Journal, member of the Tempest Collective, and contributor to Palestine: A Socialist Introduction (Haymarket Books, 2020).
Abdel Razzaq Takriti is Associate Professor of History and Arab-American Educational Foundation Chair in Arab Studies at Rice University. He is the author of Monsoon Revolution: Republicans, Sultans, and Empires in Oman, 1965-1976 (Oxford University Press, 2013) and co-author (with Karma Nabulsi) of the digital humanities project The Palestinian Revolution (University of Oxford, 2016).
Zachary Levenson is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Florida International University and a Senior Research Associate in Sociology at the University of Johannesburg. He is the author of Delivery as Dispossession: Land Occupation and Eviction in the Postapartheid City (Oxford University Press, 2022) and co-editor of The South African Tradition of Racial Capitalism, out next month on Routledge. He is an editor of Spectre.
Eman Abdelhadi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Comparative Development at the University of Chicago, where she researches gender, religion and migration. She is co-author of Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune, 2052-2072, a sci-fi novel published in 2022 with Common Notions Press. She is based in Chicago, where she is also a community organizer with the Salon Kawakib Collective, Faculty for Justice in Palestine, and other formations.
Sai Englert is a lecturer in political economy of the Middle East at Leiden University. He is the author of Settler Colonialism: an Introduction. He is a member of the editorial board of both the Historical Materialism journal and Notes from Below.
