- We're back!
We return to the The Mysterious Imperius #DreamStream as we drift through the jaw-droppingly beautiful adaptation of Neil Gaiman's magnum opus: The Sandman, courtesy of Netflix.
Is it too gay? Not gay enough? Or just right?
Let's curl up in bed together and find out.

And big thanks to our friend from across the pond, British Neil (not Gaiman) for supplying the comforting narration.
This is all I need. More ImpRex videos. Glad to have you!
I can't believe you guys got Tom Sturridge on the show! I wonder where Neil was during the shooting of this episode though...
Sandman is the one thing we can all agree on. It's brilliant, beautiful, life changing, life affirming shit that I'm pretty sure the #DreamStream indoctrinated me into the Cult of the Endless and made me an Apostle of Merv Pumpkinhead. Praise be the Teamster of The Dreamsters!
Ugh, I hate to do it but I have to agree with… Sam!? 🤢 😜
🤣
Damn guys out here being BACK , can't ask for more you guys are the best
"Mistress?
"I Believe."

Excellent Episode Gentlemen! Ooo Merch. I also Power Watched this Netflix series the whole way through. Couldn't look away. Definitely looking forward to a season 2.
I'm going to consider the quality of The Sandman an apology for hard Netflix whiffed on Jupiter's Legacy.
Indeed!
Christ, Jupiter's Legacy....oof
Man. Remember that? I don't.
@@ImperiusRex I hate how they ruined such a great book series! It’s tainted the “legacy” of the story for non book readers!
Off topic but I got a hell of a kick out of Dave talking about Discord show planning, when that was literally happening for Spooktober whilst I watched this.
This is up there with The Boys as what I think are THE BEST comic adaptations ever. I was shocked at how well this turned out!?
Right? The Boys is ridiculously entertaining and far exceeds the comic imo. Sandman is amazing, yet follows the comic perfectly. Two examples of how adaptations can work both ways.
@@ImperiusRex Exactly.
I’ve been waiting for this one boys!
Awesome!
4:58 The irony of this thumbnail is that it’s from Double Toasted and they loved it. The answer to that thumbnail from them is an EMPHATIC “shut the fuck up you idiot racists”. Highly recommend anyone reading this to watch their stuff. The guys are great and funny AF.
The show was excellent. A great adaptation and people I know who had never read the comic also loved it
The changes I liked less is actually that Morpheus is less of a dick and also several characters "talk back" and undermine his authority (I think Lucien and that fairy looking genie that made up for the show) well before Morpheus is starting to change his ways. That would not fly in the comic. Minor detail, but it bugged me.
Hope you guys are doing well. You guys should cover ‘Ice Cream Man’. One of the best horror/thriller comics of the last decade.
Absolutely! Fantastic series. I just read through to issue 28 two weeks ago, I'm waiting for issue 32 to release to read the next four. It's right up the Imperius Rex gang alley, I think they'd love it.
The name of the villain is Charles Dance
I loved it. The only real issues I had with it were the time jumps and the fact that there was no John Constantine...I share your pain Dave...
They have the perfect guy with Matt Ryan! Damn you DC!
That being said, Jenna Coleman did some good work.
