OB Daz and OB Aidan react to game 4 between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. Link to original video: • Astros vs. Rangers ALC... Instagram: officeblokedaz
Game 5 pleasssseeeee!!!! I was born and raised in Houston. I grew up going to the Astrodome with my daddy. He passed away 10 years ago and unfortunately never got to see them win a WS title. These last seven years have been incredible and I’d like to think he’s watching them. Sometimes I hear his commentary on the games. Well I guess just because I knew him so well that I know exactly what he would be saying. Go STROS!🧡💙
They switch announcers when big things happen in their recaps. The person you heard for Abreu’s Homerun was Steve Sparks the Astros home radio anouncer
The reason the commentary changes is the tv broadcast is the “home broadcast” but the away team radio announcers broadcast to local radio. Basically they show you the away team commentary on great away team plays
If a homerun is reviewed and found to have not cleared above the yellow strip, batter will always get a double. Also, when a runner is on any base and the ball is in the air and caught before hitting the ground (floor), the runner has to return to the bag and tag up (touch the base) before progressing. If the fielder touches the runner before he tags up or the fielder throws the ball to the base before the runner tags up, the runner is out. Just fyi.
Now you know why Major League Baseball has had best of 5 and best of 7 game series for post season play. On any day, either team can win. To actually test a team’s pitching staff, 5 and 7 game series is needed. Whereas only one pitcher is on the mound at a time with 8 other team mates on the field, almost half the players on a team are pitchers. It takes several games to test most of the pitchers.
Just for your information, if a ball hops over the fence or if a ball is ruled a home run and overturned by replay, the hitter is automatically given 2nd base. The ruling is called a ground rule double.
Just a very pedantic note: while everyone on earth refers to those plays as ground-rule doubles and you really aren't wrong, technically a ground-rule double is supposed to be things like getting the ball stuck in the ivy at Wrigley or the ladder at Fenway. Hopping the fence is an "automatic double", but absolutely no one uses that phrase including announcers and players.
Also a fun note: it is actually possible to be awarded a ground rule triple, but no ballparks have the need for that ground rule anymore--it was mostly used when overflow capacity would stand roped off in the outfield back in the deadball era when the outfield fences were 500+ feet away. Automatic triples--known as a "three base award"--can also be awarded if a fielder throws their glove or a part of their uniform to stop a fair ball. If the ball would have gone over the fence a home run might also be awarded.
10:05 In baseball anything on your person is an extension of your body, next time, tuck those batting gloves in the pocket😂, or give them to the first base coach as normal guys do in the MLB😂
@12:30 The umpires will almost always just award a double in that situation, but if Altuve had been well on his way to third by the time the home run call was made by the umpire he could have been awarded third.
As a houston fan who has gone to Dallas, and maybe this statement is harsh but Dallas is not a baseball city, if you walk into any Walmart in Dallas 3/4 of the sports clothing area is cowboys stuff they only have fans right now because they are playing to go to the series, if they lose the "fans" will go quiet again. ( not saying they don't have diehard fans).

I believe the first part is an automatic double. All runners get two bases.

He was given second because play was wrongfully stopped. That's not GRD.
Hope you guys can go to a playoff baseball game one day, they are incredible!
Come on Rangers! And happy birthday, Daz 🙃
Yeah man game 5 was insane. Do that one!
Happy birthday day daz fun fact it’s also my pops birthday 🎉
8:50 thats the Houston Radio broadcast team, not the National Televised announcers you are normally hearing during the game
Altuve!!!
The Little Giant Strikes Again!!!
10/20/23
This shows that there is no such thing as "homefield advantage".
Happy birthday 🎉
Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 Daz!
Bet he doesn't put that batting glove in his pocket like that again.
As a Houstonian, that stros hat looks good on you
Definitely have to react to game 5
Octuve!!! #27 ⚾️
Nice Astros hat!!
If a pitch hits the batters jersey that counts as a hit by pitch too
Texas Rangers are the South Oklahoma Rangers and Arlington’s Globe Life Stadium is Minute Maid North
Game recap tomorrow gonna go crazy
It’ll be Sunday as we are at the game today 👍🏻
@@officeblokedaz enjoy the game and happy belated 👍🏻

Baseball is too random to predict the final score.
