Mikal is such an invaluable piece of the Suns. He has gotten better every year. Dude always guards the opponents best player. He can shoot the hell out of the ball and he embraces the TEAM aspect of the game. Such a gem for Phoenix. 💎
Absolutely does it all. Plus he's such a good cutter and is starting to handle the ball more.
I agree
@@nickr.2850 I agree
Dude might not have the most impressive stat sheet game to game but if u watch the suns u know he the glue the keeps this team rolling
Facts , him, ayton, johnson, and book need to stay together.
It doesn't jump out at you, but he is very efficient from the field including from 3. Plus his length and good hands on the defensive end. Type of player every contender loves to have.
Yes!!! he’s amazing on both ends! he does so much off the stat sheets that’s unappreciated!
aye, I have him on my fantasy team as a late pick and he’s surprised me stat wise
@@eeriedog7601 and Payne too
these young players are super aware and sharp off court and skilled and poised on the court. impressive.
Finally someone shows the suns some love 💪🏼
kudos to JJ for letting the players talk and give them time to explain and elaborate. So many podcastshosts talk through their guests. You''re doing a great job
Underrated comment, W JJ. Also was in my car with friends and Saw Tommy paying a parking meter outside my school in Santa monica LA last week and I told him I watch every vid on the pod. Nice guy. Happy for this Pod.
Jj and tommy dropping bombs every week!
this man is shooting over 54% from the field
can't even explain how unreal that number is for a wing guy that takes pull-up midrange jumpshots
Sixers did Mikal dead wrong with that trade for Zhaire Smith (especially how it went down). I’ve never seen a franchise make so many bad decisions back to back. Happy that Mikal got paid & made it to the Finals 🎯.
True. But I also think they’ve been making bad choices since the iverson deal. The owners haven’t changed.
As a sixers fan I still don’t understand what they thought they keep drafting guards over forwards passed on Tatum and brown but draft Simmons and fultz
@@charliemack8585 ditto, nothing but pain watching their drafting process. Like who is making these decisions & why? 🥲
@@MiNoGanG & that’s why the organisation hasn’t made it out of the second round. It’s wild.
I was so mad at the sixers on draft night lmao worked out great for him tho
Staying healthy is part of the Game. Suns played 9-10 Deep all season. Not their fault they stayed healthy. And other teams over played themselves into injury.

Right! They just supposed to say oh our bad take the W
You’re spitting facts

Man, as a Sixers fan from Europe... I woke up that night, watched the draft and kept an eye on Bridges as his mom worked for the franchise. I posted the welcome Mikal on Instagram and a minute later he gets traded for Zhaire Smith. And then he got hurt and we are where we are. Still happy for Bridges man, always a Sixer even if he didn't play for us.
Wow interesting. I like him on our team here in Phoenix.
He's a Sun not a Sixer. They passed on him we didn't. They must kick themselves everyday since.
Such an invaluable player. Obviously the biggest impact was the communication and coaching! 📘
i just love how Mikal doesn't give a damn about what media and other people are talking about. as a Suns fan, i take pleasure in learning that this team doesn't listen to any of those noise that the Suns are being overlooked. not a single team they face overlooks them with that win streak. all they do is beat whoever is in front of them
Mikail doesn’t get enough recognition for his defensive prowess.
From the suns he does but not from the nba. He should of made an all defense team last year.
@@eeriedog7601 and he should win one this year too, but i don't think he will because the media doesn't care about him or the suns as much
Mikal jail
Barely missed the final spot on the defensive 3rd team
His nickname is The Warden for a reason
This team has the best chemistry in the NBA.They're constantly talking to and taunting teams every game.Just watch a game and listen.
Calling Bron and AD floppers. Gold
The sixers & Knicks dropped the ball not drafting Mikal. But he is thriving in Phoenix & I'm happy for him.
Yes!! they are dumb for not drafting him but i’m so happy he’s a sun and i think he’s a perfect fit for the team!!
couldn’t imagine him in any other jersey.
Sixers drafted him but traded him. We didn’t have a gm at the time so our head coach made the trade happen
my favorite player from my favorite team! Mikal!
JJ is a great listener. He definitely has his ego managed well. We all have an ego. He’d be a great Shrink or Coach.
@@DeezNutz-hv3dd I agree
makin the shot validates the move. ive never seen a montage where a shot was missed, and thats how it should be
Instagram society my man..the crossover is celebrated more than the points
Been waiting one of my favorite players on my favorite team.
The crossover is still a highlight in itself
I still remember mikal and monty were the only ones in that finals series that were not cocky after leading 2-0, and I respect both of them for that. Monty even went to the bucks locker room and congratulated them likes that’s real respect.
Not really.
31:49 🤣 Mikal went hood Philly mode for a sec
Yes he plays more like Isaiah BUT in terms of his reputation and career, I think CP3 is the modern version of John Stockton. Yes, I know, CP3 is not a white boy. But think about it, 6'0", TOUGH, strong minded, team leader, high basketball IQ, incredible passer, almost automatic with the J, and still reliable and very productive even in the last phase of his NBA career. Stockton played till he was 40, 41, and he was still putting up SOLID starter numbers.
Have you ever watched John Stockton actually play? Like multiple full games? Idk how old you are but John Stockton wasn’t all that, stat sheet stuffer and ball hog. I know you might say, how can the leading assist guy be a ball hog? Well just look at the assist numbers for everyone else on his team, he wasn’t sharing the ball he was just passing to Karl Malone on the left block over and over again and occasionally had counter passes. He also couldn’t dribble with his left hand for real. Teams with a single player who averages 8-10+ assists don’t usually win championships, especially if the rest of their team is in the
@@xXSprMgaAwsmFxyHtXx all of lebrons championship teams he averaged 7-10 assists so that statement is incorrect
@@ced3797 lebrons and magic are exceptions but generally when a team has to much offense ran through one player it makes the offense simple and easy to defend in the playoffs biggest example i have for this is luka
This interview is amazing! JJ get players that even ESPN can't get 🤣
Bruh that ranking joke had me in tears ahahahahaha
Another profound interview!!! Keep it up#PositiveVibrationz from #Botswana 🇧🇼
He better be on all defensive team this year. FR!
Insightful and enjoyable interview as always from JJ & Tommy
Glad to know M.Bridges better, whom is one of the young players that I like. Ngl, I think Mikal has a future in media whenever his basketball career comes to an end...🤔
Mikal at 32 minutes had me crying😂
I could listen to jj all day fr fr
Did JJ say “Kahunas” instead of “Cojones”?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed by that lol
Lol I heard that - better run if you hear JJ start talking about "The Big Kahuna"
Currently on a 13 game winning streak

Wow, great opening, haha. "Do you owe me money?" 😂
Incredible guest
I was so confused with the hype of the CP3 move bc it’s been his thing. It was his signature layup package in 2k from 2k11-13. I get that some ppl haven’t seen it before but there’s no way ppl over 23 shouldn’t have seen it before bc we grew up with 2k lol
that was probably the first time it worked exactly as it's supposed to. Usually they bite a little bit and he gets by his man for a jumper, this time everyone bought the pass completely, Edwards completely ignored CP. It is a move he does a lot though you're right he actually has done it twice already this season since the one on Edwards.
@@killapositionz2 one of the first ones he ever did, against the Jazz if I'm not mistaken, worked as well as that one
JJ is getting better at podcasting. Staying involved with the NBA through ESPN will continue to create opportunities to talk to the guys that matter.
Go Mikal!
I love Mikal go suns !!!!!!
Shout out to Correy Shclessinger and the coaching staff for keeping the team healthy!
anyone know how many episodes theyve done so far?
i need that clip of jj dropping bron😂
As I am watching this podcast I am playing 2k and just got traded to the Suns
Dope
Future DPOY
JJ's a natural doing these podcasts. He just needs to stay away from SAS and he'll be ok.
Mikal the guy.
I think he underestimates his playmaking ability. He’s most likely good enough to do it but just doesn’t have the game reps like he said. Similar to OG Anonuby, who didn’t handle the ball much while Lowry was there in Toronto but now he looks like a completely different player. It’ll probably take CP leaving for him to unlock it but I don’t doubt it will happen, just too many hands to feed right now on that Phoenix team.
YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE SHOT. 100
Fly commercial outta Orlando, catch covid lmfao
You guys got to get Liangelo on here
AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEE
Mikal is the real deal! Go Suns!
Top 5 defender- gave Steph fits last night!
Try to get @Drose on this show
Wait and see if the Suns owner pays Ayton the max. I think they overpaid CP3 but he's the player that makes them a playoff team.
I thought Mikal was getting drafted by Philly since he played for Villanova, would've have been perfect.
Also Suns missed out on Tyrese Haliburton. Who did they draft that year?
Suns really under the radar. Aside from the Warriors these guys have been doing damage but media really isn't much attention to them, the reigning Western Conference Champions.
You know absolutely nothing about the suns.
Mikal did get drafted by Philly and then immediately traded to the suns. Cp3 isn't what makes the team a playoff team. Bubble suns 8 and 0 they were going to the playoffs without cp3. Cp3 makes them contenders.
I quit my job of 2 years & 3 months so that i can smoke weed on my CZcams channel full time lmaooo

@@SevenHunnid take the NSE fortinet classes bro, level 4. You can become a cyber analyst
The suns didn’t pay CP3 so idk what you talkin about lmao, but other than that I agree with you. Also Ayton’s agent turned down the first offer on the table and wouldn’t budge.. so that’s not on the suns in my honest opinion. But I’ll say that we should’ve paid him but oh well, we’ll pay him after the season in my opinion
Can you guys come back and talk about Chris Paul and his headband in NBA 2K22? Has he ever worn a headband? Lol
cp being called a "shortman" when he 6ft
short for a basketball player
6ft is short
Sixers messed up this, In your own city he wins and goes to multiple college finals and wins but you draft and trade him for a NOBODY. He’s literally the wing we needed / need
JJ is like the outsider on the inside on ESPN. My question is... If JJ doesn't control the topics of convo and time spent on each, who does and how? We know it's mostly based on fan-base and general interest... and these two happen to collide with LeBron being on the Lakers, but still it's insane the amount of time the Lakers get over everyone else, while underperforming.
man i will never forgive the sixers for trading bridges. i still remember where i was when it all went down, i remember telling my dad it makes too much sense! smfh
JJ, you guys really need to get Enes Kanter on the show. The NBA needs to step up! Love the show and appreciate all you do.
Enes Freedom now
Ankle breakers doesn’t count if you miss the shot
If AD was healthy lol LA would’ve won with an injured bron
These excuses are disgusting 🤢 move tf on yall got smacked bad this year. Both LeBron AD and Westbrook were playing and healthy too. 😴
Big Sean in the house
This dude more humble than cam Payne. Just ask lebron
Complete class act… and THE hottest mom of all time.
Cool interesting guy ! To know about the REAL nba, nowadays we're lucky have podcasts like this... Fox Sports and ESPN talking points are made for morons with no interest for the game. Everyday is the same empty boring boring boring conversation about goats, mvp's, lakers and lebron...
Mikal a real one.. Knicks messed up by passing on him
Lucky for him they passed him off because I don’t think he would blossom into the player he is today on the Knicks IMO
@@oshodisherifdeen8848 That's a fact! Knicks had no direction back then

Who’s here after he locked up Steph?
Dude look like he always wearing a mouthpiece
I don’t know why I’m uncomfortable with the way my man is wearing that Muhammad Ali hoodie.
He cocky on the court
Great guest. Underrated and instant offense and persistent pro. Co-sign the opening opinion. CP# great and shook his man, but don't show it all over the place if the player doesn't finish. FACTS. Tho, Ayton is better than he started in the league, but STILL garbage.
@32:35 - JJ: “I think there was a group of NBA pundints/pundance”. The word is ‘pundit(s)’. It’s not an American word, granted, it’s a UK/international English word. That being said, either say/use it right or stick to the American equivalent. The English language thanks you.
If you understood what he meant, then he was successful. Isn't that the point of language?
Sorry Mikal The Bucks were just better yall not going back to the finals and even if u do ur losing to the Bucks ago
Wrong..
YO JJ INVITE GINOBILI, MAN! We need to pick his brain with how great and underrated he is!
