  • The Chainsaw Consultant is a Bossbot Manager Boss who was introduced as part of the Hires & Heroes Update. He can be fought in "Cut to the Chase! Logging Co." on Walnut Way in Acorn Acres after unlocking the Kudos task I Saw What I Chain-Saw. He was first introduced in the Inside Your Department: Chip Revvington and the Deforester Force Blog Post on the Corporate Clash website.
This battle allows up to a maximum of five Cogs at once. These Cogs will continuously spawn to this cap at the end of every round. They are always Bossbots, ranging from Levels 10-15. The Executive Chance is 25%.
This meter is present at the beginning of the battle, starting at 10,000 RPM. Certain cheats will become usable if the RPM meter is high enough. However, the RPM meter will also decrease when most cheats are used. There will be a one-time reset in the transition to Phase 2 that will cause the RPM meter to revert back to its 10,000 base.
𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 - Exclusive to Phase 1 and 3, the Chainsaw Consultant's damage will be boosted equivalent to the amount of RPM he has. 1.0x at 10,000 RPM, 1.5x at 15,000 RPM, 2.0x at 20,000 RPM, etc.
𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁/𝗩𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 - Exclusive to Phase 2. RPM lower than 15,000 will cause him to take less damage, from -10% to -50%. RPM higher than 15,000 will cause him to take more damage, from 10% to 50%.
The Chainsaw Consultant’s RPM meter will increase by varying amounts when certain conditions are met. Assuming any are met, Rev Up occurs at the end of every round. All RPM gains are doubled in Phase 3.
+1,000 RPM for every Gag that hits the Chainsaw Consultant.
+1,000 RPM whenever all Cogs present are defeated (with the exception of turn 1)
+2,000 bonus RPM whenever the Chainsaw Consultant doesn't use a cheat during a turn (including turn 1). This bonus RPM is referred to as Whipsaw. The Chainsaw Consultant cannot gain Whipsaw two turns in a row. Whipsaw will only apply in phases 1 and 3 and will be replaced with Spark Plug (see below) in phase 2.
    𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟭
This phase is about lowering the Chainsaw Consultant's RPM via cheats in order to prevent Deadwood. Lowering it will also cause him to passively deal less damage.
The easiest way to deal with with this phase is to repeatedly get him into Marked Wood's range and then immediately trigger it. This will always keep him at a low range whenever possible.
If the RPM is in-between Cut the Slack range (14,000, 15,000 or 16,000 RPM), you must find a way to destroy one Cog in order to prevent the Level 30 from spawning in.
This can be easily done by using Trap as it will often be able to take out side Cogs in one hit.
If something goes wrong and the Chainsaw Consultant has 20,000 RPM, you are forced to use your highest damage output and take him to Phase 2 the following round to prevent Deadwood. Otherwise, you will be kicked out from the fight and have to start over.
A restart is only needed if you cannot make due with the phase transition.
    𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮
The phase transition Throttle cannot kill you unless under specific circumstances (being at 1-7, 9, 11, or 13 Laff). Most of them require Marked Wood to be present on the turn before.
As a complete opposite of Phase 1, you now have to intentionally raise his RPM to prevent Throttle. This, in return, allows him to take more damage.
Be weary of using Squirt, as this can cause the Chainsaw Consultant to use Aggrandize on the nearest soaked Cog.
To get through this phase quickly, you must raise his RPM to get in-between Chain Link range. It is better to trigger it via all 4 Toons attacking him.
Once the link has been broken, attack only the Chainsaw Consultant with Lure/Throw. Only use Squirt/Drop if this allows him to enter Phase 3 in the process(or else he will Aggrandize the soaked Cog if he can cover the costs, a bad Cog to have in Phase 3).
    𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟯
The Chainsaw Consultant will use a cheat after the transition to Phase 3. Be extremely careful about the RPM range he is in, as he can either Cut the Slack or Marked Wood (both of which can deal heavy damage going into this phase).
Because both Cut the Slack cogs and Marked Wood followed by Layoffs can be extremely dangerous in this phase, it is recommended to phase transition while the Chainsaw Consultant is at 20,000 RPM, which will automatically use Layoffs after the phase change.
Cut the Slack is your most dangerous enemy, and you should have no reason to trigger it. A fully healed Level 30 Executive can deal 120 damage to any unfortunate player when they will be hit by the Layoffs.
In the event of Cut the Slack happening, you can use Squirt/Zap as a means of decreasing its health and the overall damage of Layoffs.
If the Chainsaw Consultant has 960 HP and is soaked, you can finish off the fight with 4 Lightning.
