Katherine is certainly fed up with it. So, while waiting for her father to introduce her to another set-up groom, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Sat at a restaurant, she offered a waiter money to pretend to be her fiance.
He had to accept as the manager insisted on pleasing Katherine as a client. But their plan would soon open a Pandora’s box.

A relationship of any kind, be it romantic or friendship. I’m not a robot or any kind of object. I’m a living, breathing soul with a mind of my own, and I will fight back if I have to. And if the same were to happen to my true friends or loved ones, I’d help them learn to do the same.

The investor's son was a good person because he did the right thing by putting the girl's father in his place.
No one deserves to be treated in this way based on their skin colour. Always treat people for who they are and for their character.

And then later the Black character accepts responsibility by saying, "I chose to stay, so it's okay," even though he didn't stay by choice. He only stayed because he was pressured by his boss. @DramatizeMe.Special it's a similar formula a pretty girl pays a stranger to pretend to be her fiance to punish their controlling parent kind of like that one when the rich girl paid the homeless man to pretend to be her fiance which came true when she learned he gave all his money to charity and he learned that she loved him for who he was
