Turns out Ădegaard is 5'10 and I can't read Google's conversion function properly. Point stands. đ
He'd been the tallest 5'8 everđ
@@bongsterize doesn't really matter what height Odegaard is anyway, he's not going to be a threat in the air anyway. Havertz is great in the air so it does add another dimension. Speaking from experience as I'm 6'2 and am pretty bad in the air but was always marked by the oppositions biggest guy leaving our best threat free (and he was only 5'10')
No it doesnât because Shaka and Martinelli are taller

Both are you the best in this space.
Havertz is going to play a more advanced role like an 8 (bombing into the final 3rd) so that Odegaard can sit back in order to find space and pick out key passes more.
Exactly, Havertz has some of the movement in the league.
Havertz looks like a 10/second striker
Arsenal Donât Need Havertz
I think we gonna see a tactical switch more than havertz in an 8
Why would arteta want odegaard sit deep when he is proven goal scorer this season? Odegaard already fit in system, why change that?
If Arteta is personally pushing for him, he has a plan for him and he will succeed in his system
Fun Fact: Kai Havertz off the ball movements when going forward ranks top 3 in the entire EPL and comparable to Thomas Muller who is literally a master of finding space and not renown for tricks and flair. They are both the same with Muller being more clinical in front of goal.
And Muller has a better Team by far

I am so excited for this. We are already so fluid in attack. Adding Kai will make us so unpredictable and dangerousđđ»
Kai will be magnificent! he's only 24, he has a lot of room to progress. I only feel nervous about his transfer fee, but I do not about his ability! Kai will make a difference!
Going to be honest. I wasn't convinced with Odegard after his loan move. Didn't think much of making it a permanent. But last season he was my player of the year. The coaching at Arsenal is superb. That's the reason I'm not worried at all about signing Kai. Give him time to bed in, work in training. He could be something special.
I instantly loved the signing. We desperately needed a bigman in the front ranks, our forwards are all around 175cms and havertz is 190+. This is the target man we have been begging for. He clearly brings something we dont have. Players of that height that are good on the ball is very rare. He can play false 9 and he can play the Ăždegaard role so that solves the Ăždegaard needs rest problem.
The Havertz signing does not pointlessly hype me up but my lord it makes so much sense that I am actually secretly excited to see him next year. His redemption will be one to be spoken of for ages. Kai will be our De Bruyne in terms of how he finds his shine after leaving chelsea.
100 đŻ percent my thoughts tooâŠIâm secretly excited about what Arteta will do with him next season đ
Well done Alex! Am super excited about this summary.
Iâve been leaving post after post hoping to see this, and itâs wonderful to hear you do this.
Interesting. Sounds like Arteta made the argument that football is becoming gradually more position less, akin to whatâs been happening in basketball
I think he was arguing they're developing into more specific roles, that may cover more than one position at multiple points for the player. So more narrow focus but across the pitch?
@@niallgraham9487 thatâs also very plausible
I think it's more so what he said. Unless it's total football or something like Fluminense I don't think it's gonna be position less.

Extremely good take. I agree with so much of what you have said here. I look forward to seeing what Arteta do with him.
Tom (The Gooner Talk) described before how weâre not looking for a replacement to xhaka or whatever leaving player applies. Each new player that comes in will establish their own puzzle piece into the squad, players wonât come in and replicate anotherâs output. Hopefully Kai will come in and establish what he can do to help!
Truth be told same negative thing was being said about Ramsdale before he came to Arsenal, Arteta knows something better than all of us. I will say wait and see before we judge him. So many players failed at chelsea and went to other clubs and became superstars, example Salah & De broin ect.
Great vid!

Hands down the best analysis video Iâve seen on Havertz.
You nailed it. They have earned the right to be trusted. I was dubious of them after Willian but after the year we had last year Iâve sworn to keep my mouth shut until they miss really big.
Last season, we couldnât believe White could play at the full back.
Last 2 seasons, we couldnât understand why the club bought Tomiyasu and Ramsdale.
Last 3 seasons, we couldnât get why Arteta moved Saka to right forward.
Last 4 seasons, we couldnât keep our laugh when the club assigned Mikel Arteta
đđ»ââïž
If he performs this will be all the more satisfying.
Was waiting for this one.
The problem is us spending this 65 million before filling the General CM/CDM role etc... i wouldnt have a problem if this was an add on to who we have bought but this is gonna be used as an excuse why we cant buy rice/caicedo etc??
Came here fuming, left with a calm head. The lexical coherence gets me every time. Top content bro.
As an Arsenal fan I've honestly said that I didn't like his lack of aggression as a forward but he's very technically gifted and extremely unselfish which suits us well. And even though I feel as if he'd be far more influential in a system like ours, I'm still sceptical because he doesn't have a killer instinct. He had some howlers in front of goal over the years and would randomly have a clumsy moment or two which I know will frustrate me when we trying to build up play. But I'll just have to wait and see how he adapts to a system that fits his playing style. Should be seemeless I guess...
If used as CAM he will provide some great options up front.
Hypocrisy of the First Order. It is okay for a player like Haverts to underperform for three years and still be considered as a great signing. But Partey after relentlessly being dominant for 30+ games and have a few hiccups and fans were calling for his sale
I think you've nailed your analysis in the final bit. Arsenal will provide him with the right system and environment and we will see the best of him here. If we pull this off then the next target should be Mudryk!!!!:)
Wouldnât call him one of Chelseaâs star players đł
Played the equal most games and scored the most goals last season... if that's not a star player then poor them!
He's a top talent and it's Mikel's job to fit him in ie create a structure. You're spot on about us adapting..evolving. He's a bit Van Persie, but taller. He carries the ball really well. This is a TOP signing ...
EXCELLENT analysis here.
Literally.. the only shred of hope Iâm clinging on to is that Arteta transformed xhaka into one of the best midfielders last season.. he HAS to perform coz the Arsenal fans will not be patient with him đ đŸââïž
There's definitely a very talented player in there. A different club, a different mindset, playing style, role etc, I really do believe we could have a rough diamond in Havertz & who better to polish him up & realise his potential than Arteta? đ€đ»
Chelsea fan here I have to agree with you the fact that arsenal went for havetz immediately after the season ended and not a panic buy or even 2 or 3rd choice player target.. he is arsenal main target . So I think he has clear plan in mind to use havetz ..only one question whether will it work or not we have to see..
You said it yourself on number 9 not one for no silly money available... that doesnt justify blowing 65 on someone, id rather spend 120 on a pretty much relatively guaranteed success than 65 on a maybe we can revive .. if we got him for 35 you could say this... but we spent 72 on Pepe and we are getting 0 for him, Viera 35 we probably wont get anything back for as well , auba we got nothing for, ozil nothing ... chelsea get 65 million for someone they want to get rid of
I get it đ â it adds to our Arsenal â
Bro you can spin anything into a positive I love it. Honestly, I feel much better about the signing now. Arteta is that guy and that gives me hope.

Kai is amazing and is going to work great under Arteta, he can play many positions and in all of them he is good at. He is a perfect Smith Row, an upgrade to Xhaka, competition for Saka, alternative to Jesus etc. His technical ability and combining with odegard and the front three he is going to be fire. With Rice which is more athletic and can cover more space defending Kai and Odegard can attack and be unstopable. Stop talking shit and embrace him cause we just got an amazing player.
Well success or failure will be on Arteta. He wanted him against most of the fan base, really hope it works out but boy he better be good and straight away because if he isnât heâll get torn to shreds
Your thumbnail game is improving lol.
Regarding Havertz, Iâm a bit worried about how we would cope off the ball if he starts as a midfielder/second striker. Xhaka was a crucial element of that 442 mid-block, Iâm not sure how I feel about Havertz or Odegaard in that double pivot.
That's exactly where the question is for me.
@@chiefnkosi7705 whatâs frustrating is, everyone whoâs been gassing up the signing just hasnât addressed this point at all, which is very surprising since winning duels and second balls in the midfield was such a crucial part of our game last season. And Iâm not sure if I like the idea of Havertz starting in the 9 given his recent form thereâŠ
@@rj_4mp100 and the second balls are Granit Xhaka specialty. Defensively, Arsenal were heavily dependent on him in winning those. Another thing Arsenal are losing is physicality in those defensive duels. Also, in that 4-4-2 deep block structure, Xhaka helped look after Zinchenko if someone was looking to cut inside or when Zinchenko (who is a defensive liability) stepped out, Xhaka handled underlapping runs at times. I'm not sure Harvetz has the defensive nous to stay switched on in those situations.
I †your story-telling
The best channel that covers Arsenal
One thing I've noticed in artetas pattern of signing players is he likes players who have faced adversity week in week out Look at ramsdale. Relegated twice then joins arsenal and now hes rated as on one of the best keepers in world.
Haverts has a few terrible seasons with Chelsea and hasn't been able to become the player he is. He's faced the adversity and now he's joining arsenal a new challenge a new leaf Artetas ball knowledge is up there with Pep he's a young manager he can get the best out of any player. Haverts could be a huge threat next season for arsenal no doubt.
All those questions just make this signing all the more intriguing and promising.
I hope I'm wrong, but I think this is the worst piece of business in years. 1. Havertz has been a relative flop. 2. We are paying what Chelsea paid for him after 3 years of being a relative flop. 3. We are helping Chelsea strengthen by taking a relative flop off their hands.
Havertz playing the Xhaka/Gundogan role makes sense going forward, because of how brilliant he is, and I strongly feel he could be the next Bergkamp/Thomas Muller in the right environment
I just don't know if the defensive set up is strong enough with him in the side if we find the press broken and have to sit a little deeper - he doesn't have to be exceptional at this to be fair, Xhaka's limitations in this regard were often mocked before this season, but I just don't think he's that sort of profile to drop back into midfield like that.
I think not being able to win defensive duels in the middle third makes it very difficult to play in the current set up, or really any set up unless a more defensive player than Zinchenko holds down the LB spot and one of the CBs plays way further up the pitch
This best explaination I've seen on CZcams. đ
Wow, thanks!
From day1 when Havertz played in England, i like him.
He has everything i like in a good playerâŠ.speed, technic, height and a good team player
I dont know, but i prefer Arsenal to sign Maddison :
1. Right footed
2. Can be CM / AMF
3. Good Freekick / trough pass
4. Good shooting outside the box
We already have 3 AMF : Odegaard, ESR, and Vieira. So why we need another AMF? Or Havertz for CF?
Love your channel. In this video, would have loved your theory about why Chelsea would let him go.
I was not sold at first, but havertz really is extremely versatile as an attacker. Chelsea had no real identity last season, and I think most creative High iq players would not shine in a team like that. Arsenal has a VERY defined identity and similar players around havertz, albeit less versatile. To me he will allow everyone else to fully focus on their role by being a link up, target, and creative player who will naturally allow other players to embrace other roles and be in different positions since he can create from anywhere and with different angles and ideas.
Adding more technicality and skills into our team will only do us good.
We have to build around Jesus Trossard Havertz Zinchenko and Saliba.
Havertz is a massive upgrade on Xhaka. Especially when he is pushed up to form the front five in possession.
Xhaka is not silky enough to tiki taka pass, dribble, or to control the ball to create in the half spaces against a low block.
We should not be building our team around anyone except Saka, Odegaard, Saliba, and Ramsdale. Everyone else is replaceable/upgradable.
@@iainabshier
Saka and Odegaard are replaceable.
Take odegaard as an example. He is only able to score that many because of our system.
Jesus playing false 9, constantly interchanging position, dragging defenders away, meaning that Jesus is an AM/LW/RW in the attacking phase. Therefore, the ST spaces can be occupied by Xhaka Odegaard Martinelli or Saka.
Zinchenko and White inverted into the CM position. Meaning that Odegaard and Xhaka can push further forward to become the AM/ST in the attacking phase.
Odegaard is assigned to take up those ST spaces constantly, left open by Jesus.
For example, look at the very moment Xhaka scored his first goal against Wolves. Jesus is occupying the RW spaces. Xhaka and Saka are occupying the ST spaces. They are taking turns to play the striker role.
This is the first year we play this possession, false 9, inverted fullback system. No coincidence that Xhaka and Odegaard has performed well. Because this system will make your CMs looks great.
Ask yourself, why did Xhaka never performed like this in previous seasons. Why did odegaard never scored this many goals in the previous seasons? Because the current system allows them to become the ST.
Iâm not saying odegaard is a bad player at all. Iâm just saying a lot of the praise that Odegaard gets, and a lot of the criticism that Jesus gets, are actually exaggerated.
Watch Xhaka vs Newcastle away, we will be missing that guy. However Kai has other qualities đȘđŒ
Martinelli is clear of all of them.
@@SRS1918
Martinelli arenât even half as good as Neymar and Vinicius. He should learn more from them, and also from DuglasCosta and Ronaldinho.
We need some of that skill set to disrupt a low block. Being great at transition is not enough.
Imagine how many goals between them. Saka 15 goals, Martinelli 25 goals, Jesus 12 goals, Havert 15 goals, Odegaard 20 goals, Rice 5 goals, Gabriel 5 goals, Saliba 2 goals, Ben 2 goals, Zinchenko 4 goals, Ramsdale 0 goal.
đ€ŠđŒđ€·đ»đđ
Like Jorginho I warmed more to it as time went on. Bit worried about City or United hijacking Rice and Partey and Xhaka going leavus really light. I suggested month ago risk Partey out due to unreliable and buy 2 new and keep Xhaka. Lets see at end. Havertz has potential to be great with us. Another 10 to 15 attacking player.

the way havertz play reminds me of muller under pep
So you're saying my wife's favorite Chelsea player is joining my favorite team? Arteta is not just building a super team, he also making my family life more harmonious in his spare time! Lol.
Jokes aside, i wonder what this means for Fabio Vieira.
Havertz is a quality player, with zinchenko moving into midfield he can sit alongside odegaard. Hes 24 we basically bought him after hes warmed up in the prem. If he plays where he did in the Bundesliga this guy has individual talent. I think 65mil is a bargain in this market for a player yet to be in his prime.
Iâve always liked havertz Iâm sure this will be a good transfer ..
While I understand Havertz has set any lights in PL I honestly believe it was the lack of quality around him at Chelsea, while Chelsea had some good players they never played as a teamand that affects all in the team as team work massively decreases.
Arsenal on the other hand play very well as a team, very united, young and vibrant, so this may be the perfect setting for Havertz, obviously im not predicting anything but hoping that Arteta brings the same magic to Kais play that he did for Xhaka and others
Itâs like pep signing Alvarez and Halland. You need people regardless of what superstar you have in their position
Imagine if we all just knew EXACTLY what the plan is for next season right now đđ that would be TERRIBLE BUT ALSO GREAT.
I'm glad we don't know cuz that means it's a secret but it makes pre season even more exciting !
I think it has potential to be a clever piece of business. Overpriced yes, but I think Arteta plans to use him as a winger or at times as a playmaking midfielder.
A lot of our players have grown under Arteta, and perhaps Havertz will too. I donât think itâs a bad idea.
Balogun is there. He is the answer...
If we let Balogun go, we are absolutely nuts. This will almost certainly be one of the more stupid things we have done in our history.
We need a no-nonsense, direct forward, and this was evident during the late season stutter - teams shut down our play and we were too stubborn to pay directly (which when we did were actually quite successful) with balls into the forward position to collapse the press that they had deployed on us.
He might not be the most technically gifted player, but he is intelligent with his play and his decision-making is very good. Doesn't have second thoughts, very reactive and instinctive. He is less mechanical and lumbering in his play in the final third than Eddie (all due respect, but his ceiling is for a mid/lower-premier league team, scoring 10-15 goals season). That freeness of movement and fluidity is a little reminiscent of Mbappe (obviously not at the same level).
This is from the little I've seen of him. But great players have come from the league and he has a lot of physical development to come yet.
That's where I'd tend to think Arsenal need as another option up front as well.
@@commentarytalk1446 as long as they don't let Balogun go. Rotate him through the competitions if need be. Should allow Eddie a loan instead.
@@chomalen Balogun is motioning for a sale as he does not want to be loaned again and only has 2 years left on his contract so Arsenal need to make a decision...
Agree loan Eddie and try Balogun in the 1st squad perhaps? Or sell with buy-back clause if possible to another EPL club? Be surprised if Arsenal would agree to ManU taking him or a direct rival.
This is the same manager who thought Willian would be a game changer.....hope it works out this time
