Triumph should try to get Ty to ride a 250 for next year. That would be cool! That bike looks good! Let him build up his supercross game and confidence for a year or two and then bring him up to 450 later on. Would be an awesome storyline to watch 😉
I'm not sure he will get anymore overalls without a little help from riders going down or getting bad starts. I can see more podiums but more overalls this year isn't likely going to happen. He got lucky Deegan had to come from deep in the pack both motos to give him a shot. And even then he only won by .3 seconds that 2nd motor. He rode a great race but we have to be realistic about his chances of anymore overalls this year with how stacked the field is.
The single biggest mistake factories make is SX riders over outdoor guys! Macadoo is a business failure. Malcolm Stewart, Forkner, are business risk!What they get paid as 12 month ( 1 year ) salaries to how often they are out due to injuries, mostly inflicted by SX is a business liability yet they always get rides! Outdoor National's do more for the sport and it's influence to the moto community and moto related sales. Soo, why not take Ty Masterpool as your outdoor specialist?
Youre absolutely wrong though, the reason the emphasis is on supercross is because they know that's the big show. You think they just got it all wrong or do you think maybe these giant manufacturers have run the analytics as to where money is best spent? You're not wrong about the risk. It's just worth it to them.

Don’t be so quick to knock someone when they’re actually contributing to the expansion of the sport we all love
translate Anstie's 450 supercross rides on the suzuki 450 those couple years. then he drops down to the 250 class with Firepower and became a race winner.. Ty's 450 sx season was better than what Max was doing in the 450 class before he dropped back down.
Pro circuit waste money on riders if I was running that team I would give contracts to riders that are gonna be thier all year and win n podium not guys that get hurt n lose titles

Some team with a brain needs to pick him up. There are guys out there on factory rides right now who are unequivocally less capable than Ty who keep getting factory deals over and over again. Ty realistically probably won’t go back Star after their prior issues, but take them for example, it boggles my mind how that team is willing to throw out contracts like Halloween candy to these mediocre riders like Michael Mosiman, yet a guy like Masterpool is going to have to go searching for a ride. I don’t know it just makes zero sense to me. For Mitch, I understand he’s in a tough spot because he can’t just tear up a contract with a guy he just re-upped a few months ago because of what had happened the last four outdoor rounds, but he seems to not only like Ty the racer but seems to really like the kid as a person. I think Mitch is going to try to do everything he can to get him on the team for 2025 but financially it just might not be possible.

What I don't understand is why the nationals have to pay feld when for supercross they have to pay the stadium. Makes no sense to me.
