You might not think that one city could be both cheap and safe to live in. While countries like New Zealand and Switzerland top the safest countries in the world, so do tax-friendly countries like Georgia, which are much cheaper for expats and nomads.

Well.... some of those countries wouldn't be on my list. Belarus ....is anything else than safe. People are fleeing the country for their own safety. It's ridiculouse to come with such a suggestion. Then North Korea would be a paradise of safe with that kind of "logic". Georgia and Armenia are beautiful and interesting but the traffic is horrible. They drive as if they are on a suicide mission. If that is not a worry for you...well.... then go there.
On the other hand is Turkey a very interesting country, safe and good food. Most of East-Europe is good. Try counties like Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czechia, Croatia and Montenegro. Surprice yourself with finding beautiful cities in Transylvania(Romania), Bulgaria and Serbia. Not going to West-European countries because they are not cheap ...is a miss..... there are so much to see. Hence there are a lot of places/countries to travel to. I my self buy a one way flight ticket ...and then I'll see where I end up. Being flexible I think it is called. I've been to over 80 countries.... but since I'sm not a woman the experiences might be different for you..... That women travel solo around in the world is not unusual. Anyhow the most important luggage you carry with you is inside your head. I'm not that kind of traveller that goes to the cheapest and most comfortable place to get "most for my money". I travel to learn and to the more interesting places .....and there you must know what you are doing and have done your homework in advance... Good luck....

An expat was murdered while I was on my way over there, and several other murders of expats followed in the next months. I myself did not feel comfortable there, due to harassment, people trying to overcharge for services, being followed around when I was just trying to take a walk, and high prices. I was a bit disappointed with Georgia. I am not a fan but I am definitely considering Armenia and would like to see how it is there at some point in the future. If you have three or more women sharing a house, than it can be good. Three women is too many to attack at once. The police, like the U.S., are less than helpless.

However, in my experience the factor which most determines whether you can live anywhere in the world is the availability of a long-term visa or residency status. Usually this involves having to deposit a relatively large amount of money in a bank situated in the country you want to live in. There are also likely to be other immigration requirements which can also be costly to acquire.

One word of caution to anyone travelling to other parts of the world. I understand while talking about this topic of "cheap" or "inexpensive" etc. amongst fellow Westerners or people with means whom you identify with. However, be cautious about describing other people's countries or areas where they live as such. The reason many places are "cheap" to you is because they are NOT cheap to locals. Things are often priced on an economy of scale and what the standard living wage and labor rates are. Quite a few of those poeple are just getting by or possibly struggling to pull themselves and their family through the lower to middle classes.

I absolutely enjoy the content and I wanted to add a few points: the tagline of "50% tax in Western countries" applies to employees - not to businesses. if you want to keep what you earn you have to be self-employed and run your own business. All countries you mentioned as an alternative have very weak labor markets - they are not havens for employees looking for a job. Also, the pay scales are abysmal. However, running a business "from there" may make sense - depending on the business, logistics and the personal taste for risks ("beta"). Best thing to do is to visit the country multiple times and execute a simple plan: find a place to live (rent/own) or understand what it would take (speak to landlords), register a business (what is the bureaucracy like and the cost) and just enjoy the scenery and the people. You will ride on the kindness of strangers during this stage and you will like it. Based on the "feel", you can make next steps - or fold it and go where you are treated better. During the pandemic, a great first step is finding a country that will let you in because many won't :)

Thank you for another video that could not be more accurate.
Just for some info I have a Grandfather who was born in the Austro-Hungarian empire but it does not qualify for Austrian citizenship. For Austrian citizenship it must be the Mother who is Austrian according to my research. Father was born in Budapest so it is possible for citizenship by descent in Hungary. Might be helpful for someone.
Thank you again and stay well :)

It might sound bit awkward owing to the kind of government it is of China, but hey, there are others too of the same kind in many other countries. I would highly recommend Shenzhen. It’s a very safe place to live in. Super convenient, safe for even females to walk around at any hour of the night, a decent living can be at USD 2000. If one is from an English speaking country with some teaching experience, can live like a King or Queen.

Youp that’s including the 1000 usd rent of a good 2 bedroom apartment. Otherwise, one can live in a 1 bedroom apartment for 500 usd and spend 1500 total then. I assume for a nomad capitalist, 2000 should be ok. I know some 6-7 fig entrepreneurs in Shenzhen who spend even 3000 just on rent on 5 bedroom apartments.

For example in Peru, you can rent a luxury penthouse with an awesome view for 5000 dollars in the best area. In US or Europe that kind of property is at least 30 000 dollars per month

Central America - Costa Rica (Tamarindo) was AMAZING because their beach front is protected from " time share properties" For example...tamarindo was so friendly & I could walk to market & anywhere during daytime - friendly, inexpensive, and clean! Puerto Vallarta - terrible...constantly interrupted by beach vendors & timeshare resort commissioned salespersons - relentless- Honduras ( Tegulcigalpa) was dangerous and FILTHY- diesel fumes & armed guards---Also- Boliva was BEAUTIFUL-and inexpensive- And EXTREMELY safe..in rural areas outside of La Paz! In central & south America I stayed among the locals and would return in an instant!

I've been in Taiwan a couple times, once in 1981 and again in 2019, spending a couple weeks each time. I really didn't want to leave after my first trip, and I enjoyed my second one, too. However, I have concerns about the PLA taking over in the near future (and at 68 I'll be getting too old to help fight them off!).

China invaded Vietnam and failed. Taiwan is much stronger than Vietnam. And unlike Vietnam which is connected to China, Taiwan is separated from China by sea. We Taiwanese have been preparing for China's invasion for 71 years. We also have been preparing for China's virus for two decades, and the results are obvious.

My father escaped from China to Taiwan in 1949 when the PRC was founded. He said he no longer wanted to live there for the rest of his life. He made his exodus, and he wanted to stay away from "Egypt" forever. The majority of the Chinese population supported the communists in 1949, and some of my father's relatives were killed by civilian mobs.

I respect your list, but have you ever being to Croatia, one of the statistically world safest and affordable countries combined with very mild Mediterranean climate, beautiful coastline, amazing cities and nature, very friendly and warm people, developed infrastructure, EU member state that is very near to the many major and important European countries like Italy, Germany, Austria...?
And Croatia has also developed very favorable legislation for the digital nomads that are growing in numbers!

I just found your channel and find it very interesting. My observation is that some tubers like yours focus on the people who earn, maybe, $300,000 to $1,000,000+. My question is, how about those of us of average income, $75,000+ to $100,000+? A lot of us average people are looking for some change, real estate, safety, less taxes and asset protection. Thank you so much and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

People asked how safe it was.
I told them the most dangerous part of the trip was the LRT station a mile from my house.
