These beautiful carousels are just so fun to make and easy process.
Here's how to do it:
1. Bake 2x7 square cake or 2 x hexagonal for base of carousel (If real cake).
2. Trace and cut templates into 600g cardboard paper for base, roof and side decoration.
3. Cut a 10" circle out of a Styrofoam sheet.
4. Hot glue them together.
5. Decorate with fondant or scrapbook paper.
6. Make decorative pieces with fondant or hot glue.
7. Paint with food colour or acrylic paint.

Hi thanks for video. Where did you get the minature mirrors for the frames? the only ones i can find are only 10mm x 10mm or 15mm x 15mm which is like 1/4 in square.. yours seem bigger and different shapes.. so any info please

Hi Verusca, I’m attempting to create a carousel cake, I’m trying to source a battery operated rotating stand , as you have in your kit.. I’ve only found ( on E Bay) ones that support 1.5 - 2 kgs will this be sturdy enough to hold the weight of this particular cake? Advice very welcome.. TIA..also from your template do we enlarge it to make them canopy to fit the 10” Styro top?

I thank you for your response, I did attempt to make my own mould too after watching your how to make silicone mould video ... I couldn't get the smell out from the silicone, they worked out very good.
