Fantastic haul Donny! I still need to pick up the mad max set on 4K. Also it’s great to see the grudge films finally getting a well deserved set 👏 💿

Cheers, Steven. I was very happy when Arrow Video announced the Ju-on boxset, and it's such a nice release as well. I'd definitely recommend The English - a terrific western miniseries. Hope you and your loved ones are safe and well, my friend.

Great Haul Donny! Big Time Gambling Boss is amazing and I still need to pick up a copy of that old Chaney flick. My favorite movie version of that Hugo novel is the 30's one with Charles Laughton.

    Hi Donny,
Welcome to the Blu"s of 🤭i mean move over to the Haul of, which has been intro for many, many years now, time for a change which is good 👍.
Damn i didn"t realise that "Terrifier 2" is so long as i"m yet to watch my copy yet, nice edition with the slipcover, i will be getting that UK release of "The English" glad you enjoyed the series my friend.
Glad to see your box sets arrived safely, the Ju-on The Grudge collection is a nice looking set, & well put together from Arrow Video as always, a essential movie box set the Mad Max movies to have in the collection, i do plan on revisiting the movies again in a binge watch, but for sure "Mad Max 2" or aka "The Road Warrior" is my undisputed no.1 in the franchise.
    Fine update as always.

      Hi Carlos,
Yeah, The Haul Of... takes some getting used to, but I thought it was time for a little change. Terrifier 2 is pretty long alright, but it didn't feel too long to me. Let me know what you think of it when you watch it. Cheers again for recommending The English to me. It was definitely worth it - a must-see for western fans. Really appreciate it that you contacted me about the Mad Max 4K boxset, I'm very happy with it and with the Ju-on release as well. Thanks for watching and commenting as always, my good friend.

Excellent video work as always Donny, you make the end of the month so much fun. I've heard the name Nico Mastoraris before, he mainly did action style exploitation films; I've never actually seen any of his work, but I have heard from quite a few people that his film Island of Death is pretty f@%*ed up, and not for everybody's tastes. My Dad is a huge Lon Chaney Sr. fan, and has seen most of his movies, and he recommends the majority of them. The Penalty, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Phantom of the Opera are prime examples of the dedication Chaney had to his work with the harsh make-up, many of which were his own creations actually, and the equally tough practical effects, but he made it work so well. That he was the son of deaf mute parents helped him to really flesh out his acting style I believe as he used pantomime and sign language to communicate with them. Eureka! also put out a lesser known film he did called Outside the Law where he plays the villain, which I've heard is good. I'm also looking to pick up some titles from Radiance Films, particularly their Italian releases like the Cosa Nostra set with Franco Nero and The Working Class Goes to Heaven. I've head quite a bit of good things about The English with Emily Blunt, didn't know it was a Mini Series, I'll have to see where I can check it out. Japanese Horror is just too scary for me, whatever the filmmakers do I find too unsettling to sit through. Take care my friend, hope you're well, and talk to you soon.

Thanks, man! I appreciate that. I know Island of Death is a notorious video nasty, but I've never seen it. I have to give it a watch someday, and Mastorakis' other movies as well. Thanks for sharing that little info about Lon Chaney Sr. He is definitely an actor I like to know more of. I've ordered The Working Class Goes to Heaven and I was just in time too, because it's sold out now on the Radiance webshop. The Man on the Roof is another title I'm interested in. I know what you mean about Japanese horror. They certainly know how to creep viewers out. Take care, my friend.

Donny you no longer have the Blu's? lol Haing Haul in the title threw me off for a minute. I never even put that together that Nightmare at Noon being a loose remake of Mutant. I love Nico's films, huge fan. Terrifier 2 is just the middle ground for the wrap in part 3. Ya it leaves you in shambles narrative wise for sure hahah. The Gore is crazy. Love me some Art. Its funny cause I've watched it twice and it never felt long to me oddly enough. I loved Big Time Gambling Boss. I did a review on my channel. Very different approach which I loved. I need to get up on that Ju-On set soon. Great update Donny, Charz!

I'll always have the Blu's 😁But after 10 years I wanted to call it The Haul Of... because everything I pick up from now on (DVDs, Blu-rays, VHS, CDs, vinyl records, books, memorabilia, etc.) will be shown, so not just the Blu's. I will check out the other movies by Mastorakis. So, Terrifier is going to be a trilogy? Wouldn't surprise me if we get to see more of Art after the third film (love me some Art too 🤡), but I quite enjoyed Terrifier 2 and the gore effects are brilliant. Big Time Gambling Boss is magnificent. I still need to see your review of it. Thanks for stopping by, Moodz. Charz! 🤘

@@CinemaniacSeventy7 LOL, Ya I totally get that. I'm the same way always picking up various related film stuff also. I have a couple books for my next update in which I believe you have them or maybe not? NOt sure, anyways they are bibles of 80's goodness! The director of Terrifier actually said he has enough "Core Narrative" aka story to make like 6 films hahaha. Well if they keep doing as well as they have been doing I wouldn't be surprised if he made more than 3. Big Time was a hella big surprise in the fact of the Narrative. I loved it. I was expecting non stop action but I got a better character flick, great stuff! Keep it real Donny, Charz!

    Hey Donny.
    Great video & haul :).
I'm a big fan of Nico Mastorakis.
If you want some recommendations i would say Island Of Death (video nasty ;)
& The Wind which is a giallo/slasher hybrid film with great admosphere.
I pre-ordered the crime thriller box starring Franco Nero from Radiance films myself.
I got the Ju-On/The Grudge box as well and it's absolute perfection.
I already spend hours watching the films & special features.
The Curse 1 & 2 are actually tv movies that made the studios decide to give Takashi Shimizu
the money and tools he needed to make it into a theatrical release.
I watched the movies during daytime though because they still scare the crap out of me ;p).

The Mad Max movies are one of my most favorite movie series of all time. I agree that the third movie is the weakest of them all, although it has some of the strongest visuals of the whole series … Bartertown, the thunderdome, the pretty gruesome punishment after fighting there and the spectacular train sequence. Even the idea with the „Lord of the flies“ kids is pretty cool, but way too long. And it definitely lacks the violence that was established in the first two movies.
