Great haul, as always. Have the same Texas Chainsaw set and Superman set. What a great time to collect physical media. Greetings from Finland!

Thanks, friend! Yes, it is a great time to collect physical media. Especially now that Disney had censored The French Connection. Luckily we still have the uncensored version on DVD and Blu-ray. Greetings from Holland!

Solid Update/Haul as usual Donny, you never disappoint with your content. I don’t have too many graphic novels, but I do have the first issue of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and The Hound of the Baskervilles and enjoy them immensely. The two you showed off there look very impressive. Here’s a cool surprise for you, I have writings in issues 2 to 4 of the Spaghetti Western Digest under my writing name Tony Nash. Mike Hauss, the editor of the books, is a super nice guy I got to know through email exchanges. He does a super fantastic job on them. I still need to get issue 1 actually. Christopher Nolan is a pretty cool filmmaker I have to say, he has a nice mixture of styles and genres to his credits. I had a VHS of Sergeant Ryker years ago, but never watched it, I saw some of Hell in the Pacific years ago, and to be honest I felt a little bored watching it at the time. I should definitely give it another chance as Toshiro Mifune is one of my favorite actors. I’ve never had an interest in seeing any of the TCM films, they kind of feel overrated to me, but the original has earned its classic moniker l. Superman and Superman II are the best in the film franchise, such solidly entertaining films. Haven’t seen them in quite a while, but I never tire of them. The Severin Milian/Lenzi set is a must have for sure, glad your copy got freed from Customs. I’ll be keeping my UK copies of the other films too, the artwork and extras of each make up the total package. Take care my friend, hope you’re doing well, and speak to you soon.

Thanks, Stephen! The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is another graphic novel I'd like to get. Anything by Alan Moore is worth it. Like Frank Miller, Moore is one of the best. I recall from your first video that you said you contributed on some of The Spaghetti Western Digest issues. I will definitely get the other ones. I'm quite curious to find out what you have written. I get it that you were bored by Hell in the Pacific. It's not a film for everyone. Personally I loved it. I enjoyed the TCM movies and the original instantly became my number 1 favorite horror film ever since I first saw it back in '97 and it's still my number 1 favorite. I'm planning to revisit all 4 of the Superman movies soon. Despite already having 4 of the 5 titles, I'm glad I picked up the Violent Streets boxset. One of my favorite releases of the year. Hope you're well too, my friend. Take care!

Excellent haul as always Donny. 🙌 That Violent Streets set looks very nice! Great work as always from Carlos with those sets 👏 I haven’t seen Sergeant Ryker, that cover art is great, it’s a shame the film does not match it. Hope you are well mate, happy viewing! 💿💿💿

Cheers, Steve! I was a little misled by the cover art of Sergeant Ryker, but I did think it was a decent film afterall. Hope you're well too, my friend. Take care.

    Hi Donny,
I still yet to get any of the Spaghetti western digest books, & they look better than i thought, thanks for showing, "Memento" i do need to revisit its a movie that i"ve watched once, i do remember that the storyline is back to front if i"m correct.
That"s a Lee Marvin movie that i"m not too familiar in "Sergeant Ryker" looks a interesting watch, never been struck on Bradford Dillman, good to that your items arrived damage free as i did go overboard with the bubble wrap, that "Texas chain saw massacre" set is so tempting but i"m cutting down the bulkier sets & i"ve gone for a U.S release coming, that Superman set is beautiful, love that use the original movie artwork posters which makes it a no brainier for all Superman fans to purchase, nice extras with the set. Zavvi done it right for once 😎👍
No worries on the John Carpenter documentary, for fans of movies recommended, glad to see that Severin Violent Streets Umberto Lenzi- Tomas Milian set arrive & its one i planning to get as the cover sold it for me, "Almost Human" my fav all time Euro Crime movie.
Fine update my friend, take care, speak soon.

      Hi Carlos,
Can't wait to get the other issues of The Spaghetti Western Digest. Looking forward to read what Stephen (tvnash) has written in Issues 2 to 4. Yes, Memento is the one where the story is told in reverse order (except the black & white scenes inbetween, which are chronological). Lee Marvin is terrific in Sergeant Ryker, even though he plays a supporting role. I'm not really that familiar with Bradford Dillman. I only know him from Piranha and The Enforcer (aka Dirty Harry 3).
Thanks again for your help, my friend. So glad I received the parcel in great condition and luckily I didn't have to wait for over a month, like with the Violent Streets boxset! I'm like you about cutting down the bulkier sets, depending on the titles however, and TCM was one of those titles I couldn't let go. Second Sight did a fantastic job with this release. The Superman steelbook set is another one I could not pass up. That really is a wonderful set. The John Carpenter doc is a very nice addition to my Carpenter collection. Thank you very much, my friend. Take care and speak soon!

Thanks, friend! Well, it is the last time I have bought TCM, I can tell you that 😉
I haven't seen Infinity Pool yet. Is it any good?

    Another great haul Donny.
As cool as Worst Case Scenario looks, i'd rather have Richard Raaphorst do more movies to be honest.
He had soo many great concepts like Higgs & Profundis. Personally i feel that as a director he has been lacking a bit.
I have the same release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it's an amazing box set.
The picture quality is absolutely stunning !!.
I thought the Violent Streets box set looked cool.
But i already have 4 of the 5 films so i didn't get this one.
    Cheers.

      @CinemaniacSeventy7  Před rokem +2

Thanks, buddy! Maybe Raaphorst wants to make more movies, but can't get them off the grond like with Worst Case Scenario. TCM on 4K looks fantastic. I already had 4 out of 5 films from the Violent Streets boxset as well, but I got it anyway and it's definitely worth double dipping. Take care!

Excellent haul as always my friend.

Thanks, buddy! Yeah, those promotional trailers are great. I still hope Richard Raaphorst will get the chance to make the movie. Take care, Brian.
