For those of you who stumble across this video and (somehow) haven’t figured it out, this is an April fools joke, this was never meant to be a real sequel to my original “ROBLOX Servers Every Saturday” video.
Once I got banned for saying a and the ban thing happend after I said it like for the second time by the 4th or so I got banned which surprisingly isn’t a lot of stuff… also many people spam a lot more
No, that was the consul servers, or I'm dum and the data store thing was different from the October 20 - 22 2021 incident (No, really, I read up on Roblox's unused yet still up blog page... turns out to be a stupid mistake where when they updated consul for its new streaming feature, it also updated the cahsing api and ended up having 20-30 pages of data in a file and the other 7000 blank pages where meant to be marked as overridable/free space as nothing was there, just as uninstalling something doesn't override the data with 0s (hard formatting), it instead marks every thing as overridable, but instead it marked those 7000 (aproxamently 7.2mb) blank pages as full/used and not to override them, quickly backing up consuls cashing servers/service and causing the 3 second read/write times making the consul servers report as un-healthy... Consul is the bunch of servers that handles routing and debug/monitoring services that the whole entirety of Roblox depended on, for example, if a sever gets a request to create a new server/intense, it must ping consul and ask where the game is in the data stores/what to ping to get the game files to load for the game server, but when those servers can't ping consul to get that data, they can't communicate with over servers making the whole entirety of Roblox useless, but as said in the end of the article, they invested in multiple server centers that house their own game servers, small data store for currently open/common files (like the Roblox game engine/F-MOD, avatar base apis, etc) and most importantly have their own consul cluster and have to ping/look up to Roblox's dedicated Data store that handles all other data, making Roblox way less vulnerable to these type of failures. but again, I think your speaking of a different incident).
