Thanks for the huge amount of information. Your camera work and it’s angles really helps to get across the details and features. Most appreciated! Peace Be The Journey!
Happy I was able to help.
Thanks for the review, the detailed insight was really helpful in my research to buy one!
Thanks for posting a review.
Thanks for the video. I’m 5’3” and I found the ‘Rightline Gear Moki Door Step’ to be a great solution for accessing my cargo box.
I also ended up picking up the Rightline gear step. As long as it is the newer version you don't have to worry about it denting your door frame.
Great video looking at a Thule Pulse M to help carry a load from Alberta-Ontario. Appreciate all the info! Safe travels!
Happy to help.
Great video, very helpful. Thanks!
Happy I could help.
Thanks for the vid very informative.
Great review! Thank you.
nice...in the market for this or maybe Yakima Rocket Box 12... thanks for making and posting this video!
ended up getting a Thule Force Medium (which isn't current anymore - only the Large size and bigger) - but found it new....a bit more $$$ than Pulse...but opens both sides...but most of all..like the look of the AeroSkin... on car now...still haven't seen a Pulse in person...only in videos like yours. Thanks again for helping. Will keep the box on 100% of the time I think...
Great review buddy
Happy to help.
Sweet review. I’m thinking of getting one of these. If I do I’ll use your link bro🤙🏾
Thanks man. If your interested I am pretty sure I have seen a newer model the opens from both sides. Just a little more money for that one.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews yeah I seen those when looking at this one I just don’t think it will fix perfectly on my car😅
Thanks for sharing. Was looking at this for my 2017 Forester and wanted a better idea as to what it would look like on the car. BTW, it's pronounced "too-lee."
Good to know, thanks.
Great job. Useful. Covers useful points. Good pacing.
Only tweak is that sometimes it's good to temporarily pull the camera back for context. The close up work is well done, but occasionally pulling back can help for context and perspective. Then go back close :)
Thanks for the feedback.
WOW! Thanks for showing how awkward it is to lock down opposite site that does not "open". I didn't think of that.
Happy to help. I did not either. It is a little simpler to do if you have a step stool or something. But if you are on the road that might not be an option.
What i've read is that if it only opens on one side, you should put the box on the bars, closer to passenger and not centered...@@Wanderer001_Reviews
@@michellecazabon2722 Good to know, thanks.
Thank you for this video. Was getting ready to order and I was wondering about reaching the mounts on opposite side. I’m only 5’3”, and seeing your reach standing on the seat worries me. I know someone mentioned step stool, can you safely reach the opposite side using a ladder? I always have a ladder available at packing and unpacking. I do like the price point on this one as well.
A step ladder might have you leaning over a little too much for comfort. Then again I am not a fan of heights and even a little ways up freaks me out. I did end up picking something up to get the the mounts on the far side of the cargo box. If you are interested I just did a review of it: czcams.com/video/92u51QNu_Wc/video.html
Great video, very informative. I am wondering if this box will fit a 2015 Rav4? I see that in the video the end of the box will push down the antenna a little bit once installed.
It should. That is part of the reason I went with the smaller option, I wanted to be able to use it on different cars if I wanted to. Without having to worry if it was too long.
Thank-you
thanks for the review. I just installed my Pulse M today on my Outback for an upcoming 2,500km round trip. Did you find the cargo straps are helpful or not worth dealing with? They seem to be a bit of an afterthought when I installed them today.
Depending on how much you put up there the cargo straps are kind of an afterthought. I have done at where I put one piece of luggage up there and strap that down to keep it from moving around too much but if you tightly pack you shouldn't have to worry.
I demand to see more of the cat.
Cat does make supprise showings in a lot of my review videos.
FYI, Thule is pronounced "Too-lee."
and if you buy this you are obligated to visit Thule, Greenland - once in your life. If u can't do that...you must watch 10 videos and read 2 books that take place in Greenland!
Time to start planning a trip.
Why dont you move the crossbars and the box bit forward to clear the antenna?
I was trying to keep it as close to the recommended install position as possible.
Question? Is the Thule Pulse M Cargo Box (614) the same as the Thule Pulse M Cargo Box? What does the 614 stand for?
614 was just the model number. They should be the same box.
How loud is the noise while driving? Great review!
Not bad at all. You might hear a little wind noise but is not crazy loud. I spent the first few trips with it really listing and watching it to make sure everything was ok.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thanks to you, I already ordered mine... 👍
How kind of cargo and much cargo fit in the box? Lke a camping tent, suitcase, etc.
You could probably get a four-person tent in it. Or three adult size sleeping bags. I generally put 2 long weekend bags and laundry stuff up there. It really just depends on the size and shape of your bags.
Can you wax it to help with the aerodynamics? Will this help with the gas mileage?
You could wax it but I don't recommend it just because of the texturing. Also not sure if waxing anything actually helps with miles per gallon.
Any issues with opening your sun roof with the box ontop?
On the Forester no.
Can you fit a snowboard?
I don't see why not.
i'm a bit jealous, we don't have such great products like these in Saudi.
Anything close to it?
Can you fit the Thule bags in here? All 4 of them?
Not having them myself I can not say for sure. However, based on the specs for the bags you should.
Where did you buy it at for that price? Holy smokes!!
Please and thank you =)
On Amazon right before summer they had a sale on it.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews yeah these were so easy to get up until june 2019, no one paid full price; then prices and availability went crazy
Better aerodynamics if you install it "backwards"
Doubt.
It can be easily stolen ? What do you think ?
The lockdown that secure the box to your roof rack are inside the Box you need the key in order to open the box so I'm thinking not easy to steal.
Did you say it takes 3-4mpg on the highway?
It lowered my MPG by about 3-4 MPG on the highway.
I have a larger Thule Force XT XL on my 2015 jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 3.2L V-6 *Maybe* 2 m.p.g. If that. BTW Im not a leadfoot.
It’s now 2023 and can you believe they now sell this for $649?!
Ouch even on sale?
Does it come with cross bars?
It does not.
Are they water proof?
Pretty much I've taken it out in the rain and only seen very very faint traces of water inside around the lip.
What is the length? Do you think it would fit on a Subaru Impreza sedan? BTW.. it's pronounced TOOLEE
67 inch long. I am not actually sure. Best way would be to measure your roof based on the length of the cargo box I gave you.
Thule is pronounced Too-lee
So I have heard.
First it’s pronounced TOO LEE. How much room will you lose setting your luggage on top of the mounts
about 5 inches.
now...
Is my substitute for um.
