- Continuing to work on Savvy Organics Farm through permaculture practices, we have restarted our composting worms. We purchased worms from the Texas Worm Ranch in Dallas. When I went to pick them up, I had the opportunity to visit with the owner and learn more about Vermicompost, worm castings, soil biology and more. When I arrived back at the homestead, I took the time to get the new worm bin set up. Let's walk through it together!

Thanks for sharing your operation. 😎
❤ this. Lots of great information. Coco coir will keep them cool. Dont use the liquid instead make your own tea by using the castings and tea bag. 😊
Great tip!
Thanks for the video, im looking to buy from TWR next growing season. Would be better for the worms if you blend the bananas before you feed it to the worms. And not give it whole.
Discovered that if I froze scraps first, did not have gnats. Freeze, thaw, feed.
Wow! That is a great tip. Thank you so much!
Mycfriends. Where are you located in Texas I live in Katy
We are located south of Dallas in North Texas.
BTW, Are you on a farm or homestead? I will be in Katy next week.
I’m guessing you missed the video where she tells you why you don’t use coco coir or peat .. they are both “Antimicrobial” !!
So completely contradictory to everything you are trying to do with your worm farm 🦠🦠🦠🦠
Oddly enough though after looking at the microbiology under a microscope there is abundant life.
