And waste 6ft of 3m 1080 material,...every time you load.... Yikes...... I have a 330 and this process is kind of painful every time....

You can start printing and once it gets to the length of the take up reel attach it, or you can have material rolled on your core and take the piece that you reuse over and sober and tape it to your new piece. You don’t have to waste material.
