@@punksjutgbd Maybe, you can't just say because someone was great at MLB that they are great for D overall. That's an interview decision based on responses more than talent. Talent is 💯 there.
@Scott Dunn Ray can operate on the field autonomously and get the other 10 on the same page every play. That's a coach to me. The tape doesn't lie. He'd be great at it, not just good. Shoot...he almost single-handedly willed his entire team to a Superbowl!

This is just a taste of him coaching before he decides to come home to Bmore and becomes the defensive coordinator
I remember one play roquan was sliding to right side of the defense and Patrick queen signaled roquan back into the middle of the defense and it ended up being a run to the right of the defense and roquan would have been in perfect position had he trusted his instincts.
I remember one play against the Bengals, Roquan on the right, Queen on the left...as soon as the ball is snapped, Queen flies across to the right and the RB(Perine) heads right to the gap that Queen vacated on the left. Good thing Roquan reacted well and kept the gain to a minimum. You want to play fast but you just can't compromise the defense with poor gap discipline.
Queen is a good LB but watching him next to Roquan, the difference is glaring.

The greatest middle line backer of all-time training the best line backer in football? The 2023 Ravens are gonna be 1 of the best defenses in football! I got them top 3 in yards allowed and #1 in points allowed. Don't be surprised if they have the #1 defense

It's funny how everybody want to work with roquan Smith but they ain't got no great good quarterback coach no qualified coaching Lamar I was Tom Brady would consider being a quarterback coach coach Lamar Jackson that's a lot a lot of wisdom Tom Brady can share with this young man cuz I don't like them people they're playing quarterback cuz I don't like all that stuff and he's the best around him first and foremost they must make sure that the quarterback have what all he needs and if you're not doing that nothing
As a bears fan, Roquan has been inconsistent with us.
He talks that he is one of the top linebackers in bears history and wanted top tier money from us, and cites his tackle stats, but in games that matter, he was not the one that showed up.
Hopefully with you guys, Ray will elevate his play, because he needs it.

Wow, this man needs to be in coaching… I’d prefer to see him on the college/high school level cause he’d impact so many young lives… but im selfish…. I want Ray’s defensive knowledge on our coaching staff 😥 Lb’s coach/defensive run game coordinator. This brother himself can take our linebackers(on ball LBs too) to a whole other level… Imagine if ray got in Odafe’s ear, Tyus’ ear, and Ojabo’s ear. I think we could really max out their individual potential being led by Ray if he wants to return to the game at the pro level. I’d love to see him back on a Ravens sideline full time. Make it happen!
