No deformation, no flaw, a perfect circle. Now that shits flawless lol also the biggest question I had with this fight was because of the amount of souls Shao Kahn has in his body, would the raging demon destroy all of the souls or just one soul?
I thought that as well like in the Ghost Rider Movie.

Oh Nate, I would definitely recommend that you and the Renegades react to the Mortal Kombat Legends movie series if not for the delicious amounts of gore and violence but for Johnny Cage's many witty quotes throughout Scorpion's Revenge and Battle of the Realms. You could also argue that at least one of these movies is superior to the most recent live-action Mortal Kombat film.

Shao Kahn DID survive a hole in his chest...but only with the aid of Quan Chi's magic. When he received that injury he was out like a light until his minions took him away after the Outworld tournament. I'm not saying Shao Kahn couldn't have beaten Akuma or anything but I don't think this was the right way to do the fight.

That argument has one flaw: He was still alive long enough to snap Lui Kang's neck. Even if he passed out after that he didn't die immediately so he didn't get the magic that saved him immediately .
He did get saved in the end by it but unless I'm understanding it wrong he didn't pass out for a bit. Besides he's faced off Blaze and Raiden who are WAY stronger than Lui Kang.
Not much in terms of power that Akuma can do that Shao hasn't taken on

@@chrisriley2321 - Snap Liu Kang’s neck? You sure you don’t mean Kung Lao? Also that happens BEFORE Liu Kang puts a hole in Shao Khan’s chest. And I also mention in my comment that I don’t doubt that Shao Khan could still beat Akuma, but Shao Khan doesn’t just get up from a gaping hole wound. He’s even stated in the video to not be invincible. They should have just not included that part in the fight.
@@Keyfur91 fair but with the power and speed difference being massive as it is Akuma didn't really stand a chance. Adding it didn't matter it had no bearing either way.

@@chrisriley2321 - I must repeat that I don’t doubt that Shao Khan would have won. I don’t recall Akuma fighting many opponents who can deflect his attacks. I’d just like a bit of consistency. Rather than a hole in the chest I’d have had Akuma crack Shao Khan’s rib cage or something instead.
Also I don’t think it was ever confirmed that Shao Khan actually defeated Blaze; it has been suggested that being the cunning brute he is that he waited for Taven to beat Blaze and then stepped in to kill Taven immediately afterwards to take his godly power. But indeed the Armageddon scenario could have played out either way and as you correctly said yourself he is strong enough to beat Raiden, so he could certainly beat Blaze on his own.
They honestly shouldnt have included Oni. He is a hypothetical form Akuma can reach. Gen himself said that Akuma is still missing what he needs to reach his maximum potential anyway....not that Oni mattered . Also Akuma may have fought Final Fight people but Oni said that he'd lose to Cody if Cody wasnt holding back and Guy is on his level.

Yet another reason Katana's defeat of Shao Kahn with no help whatsoever in Afterstory didn't make any sense. That aside, this was a pretty sweet Death Battle, loved the animation.
My headcanon is Kronika took the souls Shao Kahn had absorbed and put them into the crown when moving him through time, both to power up the crown and to depower Shao Kahn. It is just headcanon yes, but it would also explain why he became unstoppable once more in Aftermath, after having the opportunity to absorb souls from the soul well

The only reason I call bullshit on this outcome is that when Shao Khan got his chest impaled, he ONLY survived due to Quan Chi’s magic healing him. But otherwise, he was completely out of commission once impaled. If they were going to have Akuma do that, that should’ve been that.
That has nothing to do with the outcome. Plus that only happened because Shao was barely able to stand. Stop ignoring context.

@@noratheweeb9387 You're not even listening. Not only was Shao still alive in his own merit and Quan-Chi only sped up his healing, but you are literally taking the animation seriously which has nothing to do with the outcome, at all.
You are ignoring the context that Shao was barely able to stand up which was why he was downed(not dead) from impalement.

And yes, Shao Khan was still alive, but he would not have survived had Quan Chi not healed him. Literally that was a fatal blow right through the center of the chest and would have ended him if not for Quan Chi's magics.
You can't depict the fight, have a character suffer a blow that would have killed them in canon if not for an outside force healing their wound and not have that factor in to how the fight ends. Why do that at all in the LITERAL DEPICTION OF THE FIGHT if it means nothing? You are depicting the fight. Showing people how it would go. The fight IS LITERALLY COMPLETELY RELEVANT TO THE OUTCOME.

2:25 Mortal Kombat is probably the worst when it comes to special moves cause even when a character keeps their special moves from game to game NetherRealm for some asinine reason loves to change some of those inputs almost every game.
I fucking hate when they do that. There's NO reason for it whatsoever. If you have a button input that works then just leave it alone!

Look at it this way. Ryu beat Akuma in a fight that closed Ryu's revenge arc. Akuma is ridiculously OP but they've both lost to lesser characters in their own canon games. (Ryu beating Akuma and Shao Kahn losing to Kitana, etc). So it's not great to focus on specific fights all the time and instead focus on overall story power. Akuma has done some crazy shit, but none of it even comes close to Shao Kahn conquering hundreds of worlds, merging them, slurping up over 50 billion souls, and defeating every other canon character in their story in Armageddon
Shao Khan’s now two for two, with Bison & Akuma under his belt can he be stopped?
The game doesn't explain much but in the Mortal Kombat comic books explains completely about Shao Kahn on how truly powerful he is. He could actually kill one of Marvels most powerful villians, Thanos by 5% and one of the most powerful DC' Villians, Darkseid by 1.5%. Theirs a video explains how truly powerful Shao kahn's powers and abilities and to realize how powerful game characters from Mortal Kombat can truly be. For example when Shao Kahn and Darkseid form as one evil Villian, they have become an ultimate super powerful character. The more souls Shao Kahn takes, the more powerful he gets. Total of souls Shao Kahn has gained calculates 60 billion souls for the pass 10 thousand years...
Sense all the characters in Guilty Gear are overpowered it makes you focus on the lore each character more and their tactic my favorite are Zato-1,Dizzy and Faust
This is why Mortal Kombat's power scaling makes -no- sense. The Shun Goku Satsu -cannot- be stopped once it has reached contact unless you're quicker than Akuma, which Shao Khan can hardly keep up with Liu Kang, who is -very- likely WAY slower than Akuma. Only problem being the only person who has ever -stopped- the technique is from an entirely different plane of omnipotence. Being Asura, if I recall.

Shao Kahn can keep up with Liu Kang, you don't even know how fast Liu Kang is and you are wrong Gen was able to react to Raging Demon and Akuma is not that fast he is at MHS+ at best which is something Shao Kahn and Liu Kang can easily scale to and Asura's Wrath is not canon to Street Fighter you do realise Akuma would not have been able to keep up with Asura if he was not buffed

I still take issue with the Blaze feat because in the Konquest on Armageddon it was Tavin that defeated Blaze. I could believe that Shao got the drop on Tavin afterward but, Blaze was already dead and absorbed while Shao was getting ripped apart by Onaga as per the intro of Armageddon. Neither Tavin nor Blaze were ever mentioned in the reboot. Chalk that up to lazy writing but, I need in game and story stats to buy that crap.

No it wasn't, Raging Demon can actually be countered, heck Kazuya countered it with no problem before Akuma even used the move

I don't mind Akuma losing but Shao Kahn can't just carry on a fight with a hole in his chest. He's never been depicted in media fighting on with grievous injuries before, at least to my knowledge.
