Didn't play the first game, only know a little from doujins, but wasn't Girls Frontline supposed to be about guns personification as girls? Why is there a sword and shield/bow girl?
the game is literally called girls Frontline not guns Frontline
At start its true that Girls Frontline only consists of firearm only, but then from Girls Frontline spin off (Neural Cloud) the dev started to add characters with various weapons not only firearms. There's many characters with unique and ridiculous weapons

It looks like Xcom and I liked Xcom alot lol.
It's probably just me but it feels like the head and body model don't match each other because they are using different type of modeling and shader styles.

Does this game have English language?
If the game already been released for Global, I'm sure we will have English Language. For now, this game only has CN & TW server. But from the info I've got, maybe we can hope the Global Release around the end of this year, or at least the beginning of next year.

There are some challenging stages with auto disabled, but for the daily and story is not that bad I guess.

there's a streamer clearing a stage and it took him 2-3 hours to clear the stage despite he whaled the character dupes to max. i can assure you it would be the most head scratching gacha game once it releases (which sadly will filters a lot of player)

Well the dev likes to torture its player in the prequel game (GFL1) by adding ridiculously hard stages in nightmare difficulty😂, but don't worry the dev also adding normal difficulty for casual/newbie players

GF2 characters have been decensored. No more spats for Sharkry, Vepley, and UMP9. They also changed the bodysuits for Nemesis and the bunny sword user.

Snowbreak is a TPS, this is a Isometric TurnBased. Overall quality is higher than Snowbreak

Like someone already mentioned, Snowbreak is Third Person Shooting Game, while Girls Frontline 2 is more of a Turn Based Strategy Game. Maybe you feel similar, because of the characters design, and the Dorm interaction. Anyway, just want to say that Girls Frontline 2 already had Dorm Interaction from the start (Around 3 years ago), so yeah, it's not because it following Snowbreak trends (3 years ago, even Snowbreak still not been released).
They really need to expand the male cast, only Raymond fucking my waifus is getting boring
