    WHERE ARE THE JAFFA CAKES

    • @katl9537
      @katl9537 Před 9 lety +5

      You can buy Jaffa cakes in the U.S. Actually. At least in michigan (Midwest) but I never bothered looking for them in Southern California. But they are definitely my favorite British snack!!

    • @jonothoncross2882
      @jonothoncross2882 Před 9 lety +12

      Kathryn Livingston No offence but they probs taste different in the US if they have been shipped. I live in Australia and all imported British stuff doesn't taste like the way they should. ;~;

      I thought those were Australian. Lol! The orange and chocolate sponge cookies? I found some in the foreign food aisle at my grocery store, which really surprised me. They had quite a selection of things from around the world, mainly Japan, but there was a few British things mixed in there. Aero bars, and some biscuit things with a picture of a very royal looking woman that, I swear, was judging me down to the bone.

    • @AsitorCorporation
      @AsitorCorporation Před 9 lety

      GummyTumor I want to see what this biscuit with the royal woman on is. Do you remember? I've never seen one myself but they might be repackaged to look more like the Queen buys them so you all think the Queen is just everything.

    • @juanitau2012
      @juanitau2012 Před 4 lety +32

      Well its probably because American biscuits are nothing like what you call biscuits. The digestive biscuits resemble and have the texture of our cookies, so thats why they call them cookies.

    Yeah the love of salty, sour and vinegary flavours is thanks to our Viking ancestors. In Sweden they have sweets that are essentially salt lick for humans. Seriously, I had a Swedish friend who brought some over once.

    Why do Americans think we are all so posh, Just because of 5% of the english population have posh accents, not mentioning Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I have lived in every UK country for at least 5 years and i cant remember the last time i heard a posh english accent.

      Death yeah but like 75% of men and 60% of women are overweight or obese. I mean it might not be super accurate because bmi isn't that great of an measurement but that's saying something.

      Gabby Piña A biscuit is a biscuit, a cookie is a particular type of biscuit. In England, calling all biscuits cookies would be like calling a sandwich biscuit a sandwich.
