aaahhh. My Sifu. thanks for the recognition. pretty sure he appreciates it. i’m the bald black man featured in the video.

Izzo thank you for this. He reminds me of how Sifu Meadows was. Very explosive, fast and kept going until your opponent can't go anymore. Meadows would teach with your opponent coming full force in different situations. He also taught the NPD.

As Im from the William Cheung lineage, im no asshole..and yes Sifu Shannon Moore is the best. On my visit to florida, ive had the opportunity to train under Sifu Och, top student, Sifu Garrett Brumfield(the bald blk guy in video) in tampa. Lineage never mattered to me. If its practical, makes sense and deadly, im all for it. This school is legit. Very dynamtic, explosive and right up my ally. Why? THEY FIGHT! Spar.

I was lucky to be one of Sifu's original 6 students. I came in about a month after he started teaching in Lakeland. Unfortunately do to major family heath issues and other personal things that came up I was only there for 2 years. Wish I could go back but I am stuck up in Indiana.
You are spot on with everything you say about him. I remember watching videos of people from Wing Chun sparing others and getting destroyed and not being able to wrap my head around it. But then I had to remember I came from an exceptional school and not one of those garbage ones. I just remember my first class and all he taught and thought to myself...yep this is where I want to be.
Oh and a side note Sifu is 5' 7". He's as tall as you, you just have him on weight.

This is refreshing. He absolutely has it! I come from an old school Duncan Leung (before the shift)/ Brian Edwards lineage and what I see from him is very similar to the stuff we do. Thanks for sharing!

I was talking about that the other day. The old Dave Meadows crew. Years ago there was a school The White Rose Wing Chun Boxing in Alabama that caused all kinds of drama, saying they came from there and they didn't. But I have had conversations with Doc Savage (and a brief one with Grant Philibin - who wants absolutely nothing to do with the WC community) and can acknowledge their skill is legit.

@@IzzoWingChunThis is great, my only criticism is it's not violent enough. Ip Man trained secret police to infiltrate CCP, basically WC Jason Bourne. The caveat is the primary goal was to capture for interrogation without getting killed. Didn't matter how damaged the target was as long as he could still talk. As far as just getting out alive for the undercover it was him against multiple opponents kill or be killed. This is why Ip Man had to leave for Hong Kong when the CCP gained control. From there he was still in the resistance, I suspect but can't prove yet, and that is why he settled in the restaurant union because he could form a network and then he again trains Hong Kong police who can use that network. This is why he didn't teach "outsiders" foreigners and northerners. The "real deal" students were not becoming teachers they were going into "other" work.
There's a similar situation with CHEUNG LAI CHUEN of Bak Mei, he created bayonet techniques at the military academy for Chiang Kai Shek and also trained the special ops search and destroy teams. If IP MAN was training Jason Bourne, Cheung Lai Chuen was training John Wick. Again, same Hong Kong situation but it's a little clearer how the Bak Mei Pai stayed involved because they had networks to Laos and Cambodia to fight Ho Chi Minh, who just happened to be a student of Cheung Lai Chuen at the military academy before he was expelled. One of Cheung Lai Chuen's top students General Kot Siu Wong created the 14K triad which used the heroin trade to finance the resistance both above and underground and this is how Bak Mei became famous in the triads and feared by the CCP who were being trained by northern Shaolin, again why Ip Man wouldn't train northerners.
The only person I know who does what would be basic Bak Mei is Lee Morrison at Urban Combatives, looks like he's reinventing the wheel, no insult intended. The real secret to both is the HAKKA SHOCKING POWER, Adam Chan knows this I can tell by his movements and I've tried to get him to comment on the history but no response. It's a "dirty" history unless you oppose communism.

Anyone who says you only need one sifu is crazy. If I had stayed in the Ip lineage and never trained with Mark Phillips, I never would have figured out how WC ACTUALLY works in a fight. In Hong Kong it makes sense - most kung fu students do it for health and fun. But in the West, being able to apply your martial art is essential. I know you know what I mean!

I used to love wing chun for a martial art, but to fight I wouldn't go near it, it's got some great applications that have spread into kali and some karate, but apart from that I'd just take it for enjoying the art. If you don't have any type of boxing with it I think frankly you just get smashed to pieces, but that's the great thing about martial arts it speaks immense volumes of truth.

    Cordialmente,Massimiliano 👍💪🙏
