Very thorough review. Nice and slow to show us content inside--no surprises. I want to get it but have the Great Adventure Bible from Ascension Press which looks like the exact replica size, font, notes, etc. with the Great Adventure historical stuff swapped out for the Divine Mercy elements. Just love the red and white color coordination throughout.

Wow, one of the best Bible reviews I’ve seen! Thanks for doing such a great walkthrough, it’s what’s missing in many reviews I’ve seen. This Bible itself looks beautiful, it might have to go straight in at No1 on my birthday wish list 😆.
One question though, I’ve had issues (as have lots of people) with the spine and binding on my Great Catholic Adventure Bible from Ascension. Some people have had pages literally just falling out, and with my copy it makes an awful crunching sound when I open and close it! I believe it’s where the glue has come unstuck towards the spine on the pasted down lining inside the covers, and it can’t be fixed with actually dismantling the whole covers. I’m not sure how long you’ve had this Divine Mercy Bible, do you think so far there aren’t any similar problems as with the Great Catholic Adventure Bible? Because I see that both Bible are constructed in the same way.

This is really nice! Released in January I think. I already own the Great Adventure Bible and from what I see, this one is exactly the same. At least the meat of it anyway. The differences are key events vs. Divine Mercy events. It would be great if AP would release the articles and Divine Mercy event notes in a separate booklet. I don't need another bible of the same translation. But I would be interested in the articles and notes. Nice review! Thumbs up!!

I really appreciate the review. I have been looking at this bible for a while now. I already have the Didache bible, The Ignatius study bible , the Ignatius bible in the RSV2CE translation. But I really would like to have all the divine mercy content.

Beautiful Bible review, I love the RSV Bible, I currently have a RSV Bible oxford, I have been thinking about getting one of these or the great adventure Bible, I do not have a RSV 2sd Catholic edition yet. What one would you recommend great adventure or Catholic mercy? God Bless you.
The Great Adventure Bible is essentially a study Bible. So, if you’re trying to understand the Bible better & salvation history...that’s a good choice.
The Divine Mercy Bible focuses more on God’s attribute of being merciful. What it means, when has he shown it etc!
I honestly think both are really great to have, I have both lol. But I would recommend the Divine Mercy Bible to get 1st!🥰

Is this Bible made with a glued binding, or a sewn one? I know I've not bought Hahn's 'adventure' Bible because its pages are cheaply glued, not sewn. Oh, if you don't read your Bible much it won't made any difference, but for those of us who truly read and study these scriptures, the glued-in pages will start coming out. I carry a pocket Cambridge New Testament that's 40+ years old and on its 3rd leather binding, but because the pages were sewn, they are as fresh and tight as when I first bought it in the seventies...
This Bible has a sewn binding! I think they are now printing the Great Adventure Bible with a sewn binding as well!💜 That’s awesome that you’re Bible is still in good condition.🥰

I’m in the UK and can’t find it anywhere except on Amazon where it’s £40, not even options on EBay to ship it from the US which is very unusual (I couldn’t do that anyways as shipping stuff like this from the US is absolutely scandalous in cost, often almost double the price again of the Bible itself). Anna are you in any Catholic groups on social media when someone in the US might send one out for you just at cost price?
