  • Last Saturday, Nov. 12, the Colorado State football team (2-3, 2-7) welcomed the Wyoming Cowboys (4-1, 6-3) for this year’s version of the Border War. An energetic CSU squad came out firing, forcing a three-and-out on the Pokes opening drive before Rams star wideout Tory Horton returned the ensuing punt 72 yards to the house. A stout defense had the green and gold up 10-7 at the break. Fast forward to the fourth quarter, and Michael Boyle would record his second field goal of the night, extending the lead for the Rams to 13-7. Immediately after, the defense would clutch up again with another three-and-out stop, and it seemed all the momentum was on the home side. However, that changed drastically when Horton, this time, muffed the punt, handing the ball to the Cowboys well inside CSU territory. Wyoming only required two plays to find the end zone, and the Rams found themselves now on the short end, 14-13. Unfortunately, the score would stay that way as time ran out, handing the Bronze Boot back to Laramie. Nevertheless, CSU will be back at it tomorrow at Air Force, while Wyoming returns home for a crucial battle with Boise State. All of this and more from CTV Sports!
