My Storm Chasing MASTERCLASS: www.stormphotoclass.com
Second day chasing this spring resulted in an unbelievable tornado near the town of Hawley, Texas. I got distracted with a north storm earlier, but raced back in time to capture my closest ever intercept. - Věda a technologie
The sweetest sound in the world, is that of a crying child. Because it means that the child is alive. I learned that from a Culver City paramedic 30 years ago, and it still hold’s true to day.
A laughing child is even sweeter
Coast guard friend said they save the ones who are screaming because they’re more likely to survive than ones who aren’t.
Thank You for all your video's Mike! I was watching Freddys live stream when that happened. WOW, very intense! I am so glad Freddy was there, to get them to a hospital as quick as he could. Who knows how long it would of taken first responders to get to them. My prayers go out to that family
I watched freddys livestream as it happened. Pretty crazy.
Yea that was a sudden reality check
Great chase Mike. It's awesome to see a tornado that close and in safety. Thumbs up for you! On the other hand, well, it's what all we chasers kind of know... we love to see these powerfull events, but at the same time they can be cruel, very destructive and take lives... a very ambiguous situation. As you were speaking, i felt that pain too... Hope everyone's ok! Thanks for the video.
I had the same kind of feelings while watching it. Once the tornado really took shape it was beautiful while just kicking up some grass and dirt, but later on when I started seeing debris flying, it was really sad.
Wow, absolutely stunning tornado and footage!
Incredible to see the formation at that stage. Keep doing the incredible things you do Mike, I'm always excited to see what you've got coming next! I'm hoping this spreads awareness for what people go through with these tornadoes.
Great job man!!
Thanks!
Good chase, Mike. And thanks for the commentary letting us know the reality behind the beauty and drama. Take care of yourself and your family.
WOW! Amazing footage, Mike! Great chasing, brother!
Thanks dudes!
Hey Mike, wieder wunderbar eingefangen. Viel Erfolg heut und möglichst wenige verletzte bitte keine Totalen. Liebe Grüße ausm Sauerland.
Great you found one amidst that awful forecast. Wish I could make it.
We love you Mike! Excellent video! Big kudos to Freddy for acting quickly. I have a stepson now, so seeing/hearing kids in distress instantly breaks my heart, way more than it did before I became a family man.
WOW, Fantastic catch and video documentary on this days severe weather including the tornadoes. Like to see mother nature at work but not the destruction and people that are in the path. Luckily it sounds like everyone was ok and that's good to hear. We do watch Freddy and some other chasers also. Enjoyed watching once again and have a wonderful upcoming weekend Mike.(Steve)
Great video Mike!
thanks Joey!
02:17 That’s a narrow wall cloud with a wedge shaped condensation tornado descending down from it. Descending down from it to the ground is a tube shaped deposition tornado.
Amazing footage, my friend. How does Gina not go crazy when she sees how close you get to the action?
I don't usually get that close :)
This one hit the home of a Grandson of ours. Sad that is their home... all that debris 😢
Great capture Mike - hopefully you were able to catch a photo of a lightning bolt with that tornado. For a lot of chasers- day of a lifetime, but as you say a nightmare for one unlucky family
There is actually a bolt in that thumbnail :)
What was the rating for this? I heard there was some bad ones in the past week
me and my brother went to Merkel to run away from the storm from Abilene lol
Glad you did the smart thing!
