Wow this really helped! During the in game tutorial I was like yeah this is easy then when I went in a battle, there were so many things not explained but you explained them all!
Actual advice: Shooting your gum at opponents is actually very useful.

I personally hate it as a battle mechanic. Hopefully they implement some changes to it or remove it altogether and replace it with something else. Also, left and right are suppose to beat up, up beats down, and down beats left and right.

I thought I remember being given the opportunity to use a dodge to bail out of those confrontations if that makes you feel better.
I love the art of this game but it needs some serious tweaking in terms of making it fair and competitive.... and maybe a better tutorial
How do you dodge? I’ve been playing for a while and checked the tutorials over and over but there’s no indication of there being a dodge button

So is parry luck based or is there some indicator as to what the other person is inputting?

Up: attacks forward (strong against down)
Left/right: fly in a half eclipse behind your enemy (strong against up)
Down: look behind you and strike (won't move you) (strong against side)
However, there is no way to indicate the enemies inputs.

This game, and this guide, for that matter need major work, Normand the fact that the parry system doesn't work as intended, but this guide helps with tips as much as a pinecone helps me wipe my ass.

Really wish it wasn't a guessing game when parry, should be something similar to For Honor that you can see the attack of your oponent and answer apropiately in time if you can.

hello sir shinobi strikers would like to have a word with you
Everybody is complaining about the rock paper scissors being too random, but the game clearly isn't supposed to be a pure-skill E-sports game. It also doesn't need to be, we have plenty. The parry system sets up a lot of room for strategy like seeing someone have to S burst but win a clash afterwards means you should go for them before they can recover because they have either one or no parries left. But even then, with one s burst vs someone who could have a full meter, it's not just hopeless as soon as they land the first hit. You could still get lucky and come back. There's still plenty of skill-based stuff to go around but with the luck-based stuff to keep things exciting like in Mario Kart.
Also, they didn't say in this video, but you can dodge out of a parry instead of picking a direction to run away and regen if you think you'll lose.
One thing I don't think is mentioned is that depending on if you press left/right, backwards or forwards and attack you do a different attack depending on weapon which mixes things up a bit more. Don't think it's common knowledge so pin me 😅

This game needs a lot more improvement.... The parry system is horrible complete luck base and some weapons need nerfs as one hit from the sound hammer and your done.
Upgrade the parry system to a skill based. Not luck. 😎😤
Is there a way to escape from combos? Half the time an opponent combos me I can’t escape.
Also is there a way to play on different maps? I select Eagle City every time I play a match, but always get WNA Academy.
Not sure but I've had opponents escape my attacks a couple of times in middle of combos, not sure how they did it cause the game literally doesnt tell you that so i was left with confusion when trying it myself
Yeah, it happens to me too.
You can escape from combos using the L bumper. Go into training, then open menu with the + , then + again for options , then select ‘tutorial’ and there’s different sections with I for on what to do. One section explains using the L bumper to escape a combo duel.

What a weird game, but sure as hell innovative. The commercials and teasers made me expect more polish tho, the whole experience feels very bare bones.
I just want to know if there's a way to earn Jala besides leveling up 30 times..I already have 600..I want to buy the pass without having to drop 10 dollars to have jala extra afterwards 😪

just played this game I don't get how you pose to block attacks, is it just a random luck if you picked the right direction .I also don't get the aiming systems had someone right in front of me and instead I dash into random pals in battle instead the dude in front of me

Honestly, if an attack on titan game were made and had an online mode with gameplay like this, it would be pretty neat. Not sure if there is one available though.
There is more than 2 attack on Titan games but the 2 most recent ones have online and different customization options so I guess they have that like Ninjala

@@train4292 Is mostly luck based, half the time you get locked into clash which is all luck based, sometimes enemies can get out of your combos despite being in lockdown animation and so on. The combat so far is clumsy and luck based

I was thinking scince Arms and Splatoon 2 are now getting older they should make Arms and Splatoon 2 free to play with online service perminantly through rest of switch life. They will sell more online subscriptions then copies of those games from here on out.

My main issue was button layout. I'm going to try their recommendation with type D. Attacking with a shoulder button feels odd.

This game really needs a gate at spawn to stop the other team from cheap kills.
It isn't fun when you are against players of higher rank and your team is getting spawn camp the whole match.
In fact this game also needs a better rank system because low rank players seem to get paired against high players too often.

The "skins" for weapons are consumables, when you select one it will ask you for a confirmation before a match. Press X and then ok. One will be consumed until you run out then it defaults to the... Default "skin"

I've been using the drill, yo-yo is very good but I'm not too good at it
@@goldcypher9938 I use the drill mainly because how broken it is I used the yo-yo for a while but it's only good close range because it does more damage up close the hammer is really annoying but barely anyone uses it because drill is super op

Server maintenance on launch day and time unfortunately. You know what makes no sense about this game? They released a story mode made for offline to be played offline yet I have no access to play the story mode at all even though I paid for it
No one can play any of the game so it’s not really the games fault for it since all of the servers aren’t out yet. It’s supposed to come out at 10 Pm EST which is when you should be able to play story mode
