En 1992, Lévon Minassian collabore à l'album puis participe à la tournée Secret World live Tour de Peter Gabriel. Il devient le doudoukiste le plus prisé des personnalités de la world music, des compositeurs de musiques de films ainsi que des grands noms de la variété française.
Il grave deux albums avec Armand Amar, Lévon Minassian and Friends (2003), thèmes et mélodies traditionnelles où le doudouk rencontre d'autres instruments du monde, puis Songs from a world appart (2006), où il évolue dans un espace musical hors du contexte traditionnel.
Reconnu par ses pairs qui lui décernent en 2002 le Trophée des Maîtres à Gumri (Arménie) puis décoré en 2003 Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres par le président Chirac, Lévon Minassian est sans aucun doute aujourd'hui un des meilleurs joueurs de doudouk de sa génération et contribue à l'émergence et la notoriété de cet instrument à travers le monde. - Hudba

This music was used for the winner icedance part from Grishuk and Platov years ago (coach Tatjana Tarassova). It was great......At that time I've heard this music, this instrument for the first time...simply great. Because of the life concert it i sunfortunately not the best sound

...instead to listen to the perfect sound, the people shouting "Peter...Peter"....what can i say...?..
To be honest the crowd noise is probably mixed in after to create atmosphere for the live concert video.
What rock and pop people have little mind...idolâtrie!

It is from a DVD called Still Growing Up: Live and Unwrapped which is sort of a companion DVD to Growing Up Live, the original DVD recording from Peter Gabriel's Growing Up tour from 2003-2004. This piece, The Feeling Begins, is from Passion, Gabriel's 1988 soundtrack to the the film The Last Temptation of Christ by Martin Scorsese which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Nikos Kazantzakis which was originally published in 1955. Both the film and soundtrack are stunning and thought provoking. I recommend getting the soundtrack as Gabriel collaborated with musicians from the Middle East, Asia, Pakistan, India, Africa, and so on to produce beautiful musical landscapes which can heard alone or as part of the film. Once you get the CD, make sure to play it on a very good sound system, preferably Dolby surround sound, and do your best to soak it in. It is an amazing aural experience and one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
