Recommend wearing galoshes, very easy to clean human poop off when (not if) you step in it. Watch out for hypodermic needles, sometimes they get mixed into the poop, and you risk sticking yourself; then it's a race as to what disease will kill you first. Don't drive your own car, and don't leave anything valuable in the rental car as it will get jacked. Watch out for the crazy "undocumented" immigrants who might shoot you down...during the day...in tourist areas like pier 39. If you complain, you will be labeled "racist", and/or "colonialist", so just suck it up and move on when (not if) something bad happens to you. Other than that, have fun! (Yes, I miss San Fran as it was in the 1980s; what Feinstein/Pelosi/Newsome have done to it since then makes me sick.)

i use to HATE going into SF! I always lived between an hour to 90 minutes away..but then my dad got really sick and was sent to UCSF medical center. I was going into SF every single day for over a month.. I learned to LOVE SF.. and I always say with a smile now that SF saved my dads life :) I love this song!
Why did you hate it? Thats so weird. I used to drive 2 hours (from Davis) every day for two months at the end of 2019 just to work three jobs in the bay. I didn't make any money, but my younger stupid self had a lot of fun.

While I’ve never lived in the city I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life and going into the city is still as memorable of an experience as ever so I highly recommend seeing it at least once in your life

It wasn't so great if you were trying to drive a cab through the Mission that night. A bunch of rioters were blocking the 16th & Mission intersection and one of them tried to smash my driver's side window and possibly my face with a beer bottle because he wanted to show everyone how happy he was.
