- It's time to get to get out all of that red, white and blue around the farmhouse and prepare to celebrate our independence this summer! I love patriotic decor around our home in the summertime. It's simple, nostalgic and I love how we can set it and forget it until Labor Day! Low maintenance decor for summer so we can spend our time outside playing, gardening and swimming!

This is the first time I watched your channel and I loved this video! My goal was the have patriotic decor up by May 15 to capture Memorial Day, Flag Day, and July 4th. As of yesterday I am done! 🇺🇸 Oh well, I tried! I love using red, white, and blue this time of year. After the 4th I will change to lemon and blue in my kitchen…and who knows what in the rest of my home. I can see that your priority is on your family which is should be. That time of your life goes all to quickly! I live in eastern Iowa and we are desperately needing rain, which has been promised for tonight. I hope we both get what is needed.🙏🌨️😊

OH! How neat, campfire cooking in those tins! The Folger's cans remind me of summers at my grandma's house... she was a loyal Folger's coffee drinker and still is to this day! lol! So glad you stopped by!

So happy your video came up in my feed. I decorate for every holiday but tend to leave the patriotic/Americana up through Labor Day now. I add "summer" accents like picnic baskets, baseballs, etc. Thanks for sharing.

I have a few of those bicentennial jars from 1976. That year my mother bought probably 20 dozen jars. We canned in those for several years. I'm not sure what happened to all of her jars, but in the 1980s, a lady gave me a few boxes of jars and some of those were in there. I actually use them to can in. I also have a couple of the mason jars with a star on them that I still use. I'm not sure if they're collectable or not. Love your decor.
Love that! And I’m not sure if they’re collectable either 🤷♀️ My jars were in our canning collection too but last summer I decided to set them aside for decor instead. Amazing how handy and timeless those jars are! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
