Thank you for confronting the flamage crisis
Ayyeee you rock Jacob!
Love you Jacob
we stan a king who confronts the flamage crisis
Ayy its Jacob!
Yo this guy rocks
If you like Brendan Fraser, you pump. If you don’t, you slump.
*and this isn’t sexual whatsoever.
I pump all the time...... alone.
I’m pumpin then
@@RyanSmith-qr7jg …what do you mean by that..
I have no idea why the Disney Company decided that the George of the Jungle movie needed a scene with an oiled up, naked Brendan Fraser, but it made me the Pumper I am today, and I'm eternally grateful for that!
no slump then, all pump?
I love that this works with either meaning of "pump"
it made me a certified coomer :\
better than what current disney decides to do.
Technically every Brendan Fraser movie is a movie where he emerges from the past, such is the nature of time. i like the bit where George swings into the tree though, that was funny
Even Doom Patrol falls in that category 😳
If only someone had warned him to watch out for it.
I had George of the jungle on VHS and wore out the tape as a kid
@@Guitar-Dog can you fix it so we can all have a viewing party? and also i agree about the tree thing 😎😎
@@Guitar-Dog same
I'm in love with Leo Vader's brand of over-examining largely random things I had no prior interest in, and I'm perplexed as to why this channel isn't way more popular.
Dude me too
Couldn't have described it better
A lot of people don't want to watch some random thing from some random dude.
@@jobansand they’re missing out
@@jobansand people watch literally anything, i can watch someone talk about random stuff if the person is enjoyable to watch. And Leo Vader is certainly entertaining enough to not need an impelling video topic.
The next trilogy you should look at is: Through supernatural means, Jim Carrey realises what he’s missing in life and betters himself.
The Mask, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty
unironically this
You couldn’t also add The Grinch to this list
Don't forget Yes Man (extremely similar to Liar Liar, imo)
the mask made him annoying
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is close to qualifying, too.
I watched Encino Man 31 times in 1993 because MTV kept playing it all through the summer. It was a good summer, and Brendan Fraser has a special place in my heart.
Good lord, "Fraserection" is like a triple entendre. Great work, boyo.
That nakeyjakey rap truly revived the genre. He’s going to have to rest on a yoga ball after that one
The nakeyjakey rap is clearly what brought jakey back.
I now firmly believe that all the copious staring at George's body is a direct response to the staring at the unfrozen cave girl. Thank you for making me aware of this.
It's incredible how none of these Brandan Fraser movies had absolutely no impact in my young self and were not sexual awakenings, like not at all.
I don’t know if this is sarcasm but my dad made me watch George of the jungle as a kid because he had grown up watching the original tv show and it literally had no affect on me. I did not remember who was in it or what he looked like at all. I am positive I was completely unfazed by the naked scene. Which is interesting because at that age I definitely had a huge crush on Wesley Crusher from Star Trek and the older brother from Wizards Of Waverley Place.
@@rachelcookie321Oh I was also into the older brother from Wizards of Waverly Place lmao. Only watched Star Trek as an adult so Westley was not it for obvious reasons. I was obsessed with George the Jungle as a kid. And I've always been into Brendan Fraser but for some reason the naked scene did not do a thing for me.
Don't ask me why but him in that Journey to the Center of the Earth worked more for me and I'm still unsure why especially because I actually like George in the Jungle when I don't like Journey to the Center of the Earth.
i was not so lucky. being introduced to the sight of oiled man boobs at 5 was instrumental to my development.
@@rachelcookie321you might be the only person to crush on Wesley, and for that I sincerely applaud you. Because someone had to ❤
@@luckygitane what? But he was so cute and smart. Surely tons of young girls loved him.
I recently re-watched. Bedazzled. He plays a really sad nerdy guy in that movie, and I remember thinking "wow this this the same guy from the Mummy?" And the crazy part is he plays 6 more different characters in that movie. His range is actually underrated!
His character as the drug lord was amazing
Love that movie
The gay writer with the big shlong is my favorite from that movie. "You forgot you're gay again?"
Fun fact: in George of the Jungle, Brendan Fraser's character "George" wasn't actually supposed to swing into the tree. This is evidenced by the line in the theme song that played just a moment before, where the singer notifies George *NOT* to swing into the tree.
Is there any other backup to this other than the song lines cause it also might have been intentional wordings to make it funny (again)
@@judson5203 I looked into this. I contacted Keith Scott (the actor who played the narrator and the singer of the theme song) to verify your theory and his response was "you got the wrong keith scott bitch don't dm me again" so I'll take that as a no
@@gr6e lol
This is my favorite youtuber reviewing my favorite 90s himbo's most absurd movies, I'm loving it.
Man, that ape marriage in George of the Jungle genuinely horrified me as a kid. Like, thinking about that scenario outside of the Big Goofy Cartoon framework for even *one second* is like staring straight into the ark of the covenant.
I'm a pumper through and through. Been like that since I was a kid
Found this video after Brendan won his oscar last night. From fish out of water to award-winning Whale.
Seriously the best plug for patreon I have ever seen at the end. That behind the scenes joke had me rolling. Simplistic setup executed perfectly.
for the last year or so i've been embarking on a fraserthon, making my way through brendan's entire filmography so as an avid fraser fan myself, i enjoyed this video an absurd amount
This video was made for me. Blast From the Past is amazing and Brendan Fraser's run from 1999-2001 is goated. Thanks for this, Leo.
Was just rewatching "why are kids obsessed with horror" when this popped up. Never clicked faster
I can confirm the post-shower scene in George of the Jungle being a pivotal moment of my childhood
George Of The Jungle was so fun. I love the scene when the henchmen and the narrator get into an argument. Even as an adult that made me laugh.😂😂
His character Cliff Steele(Robotman) from Doom Patrol, fits into this too. He dies and it takes years for the scientist to actually revive him as a robot.
awww man, i was really looking forward to that 2 hour deep dive in a video i knew was 23 minutes when i clicked on it. 🥺😢
"If I tried to make a *can they understand the cat in Stuart Little?* type video about this movie I would end up... Institutionalized"
That earned an instant like from me lol
Blast from the Past is one of the best feel good movies ever and Brendan Fraser is probably the nicest person alive.
Such a novel premise of a video and I clicked instantly. Really enjoying your work.
"Wake up babe, Leo Vader posted"
and it's even funnier when you consider the fact that in doom patrol, robotman is a race car driver from the 80s who is trapped in a robot body in current day lmao
Fun fact. Cookie chrisp was actually a dog food originally. Marketed to sell to people so your dog can eat cereal with you.
It only got marketed to people because they kept eating it instead of buying it for their dog.
Not joking.
Made by Purina.
Would love a source on that because the original mascot was a wizard. It was originally made by Purina but so was chex.
I liked George of the Jungle and Encino Man but I've never heard of Blast from the Past. How did I avoid this?! He was ripped in George of the Jungle! o_O That scene in Encino Man where he finds that exhibition is really heart-wrenching :S
You’re killing it! I’m like a third of the way through the video but this is the type of content I love to consume
#TheFraserection
Piggy-backing off drpengin guitar : just finding this channel and the randomness is so refreshing. Love this. Also just funny, simple but smart.
That Rorschach/George comparison was perfect.
this video has inspired me to maybe actually start on my video ranking the weird off-brand superhero movies from the late 2000s (like Push and Hancock)
I don't remember if they ever touch on it but Link could straight up kill anyone else on screen at any point. Archaeologists recovered fossiled footprints of a caveman running accross a beach. At Olympic level speeds. On sand. These guys were as shredded as they come.
I've loved all your videos but this is the first one where I laughed so audibly I jettisoned broccoli into my keyboard and had to clean it up. So thanks a lot! Also George of the Jungle is a cinematic classic and perhaps John Cleese's best role as Ape.
All childhood classics. More Brendan Fraser content please.
As dumb as Pauly Shore movies are, showing this very specific character grow through cameos in unrelated movies is something I love and don't see enough of. There are so many characters where I go "I want to know what happens right after this, but don't want another movie" and that's the perfect way to resolve it.

I am being 100% literal, no exaggeration or hyperbole or misspeaking, that this made me laugh harder than anything has made me laugh in a long time
These videos bring me so much joy. Please never stop chillin and grinding(and obviously don’t forget the nugs)
Omg I'm a 38 year old man and always thought cuss words were actually French because people always said pardon my French. Turns out they're Germanic and pardon my French is a derogatory term towards French people. B from the P probably helped perpetuate that incorrect belief. Amazing discovery from my childhood. Definitely a blast from the past.
Leo forgot to watch every episode of the original cartoon.
Now is the part where we throw our heads back and laugh.
Ready?
I don’t know if anything made me laugh as hard as the exclusive ASMR bit. I was so caught off guard that was fucking hilarious.
I like to come back to this video to see that Cookie Crisp dog contemplation. Solid milestone of Leo Vader lore.
The nuanced call-backs destroy me. I am now dead and look forward to re-watching all Leo's videos in my afterlife... HOW HAVE YOU NOT SUBBED THIS CHANNEL YET?
the Jakey SLANDER at the end 😭😭 that was brutal
I definitely think you missed an opportunity to include "The Scout" in this video. I could definitely see that performance being read as the least fish out of water version of this archetype.
"But really the area has just fallen into disarray due to the residual effects of Reaganomics-- or Obamacare, whatever you want"
Cackling. Thanks, Leo
You offer some of the best & funniest running commentary I've ever seen on the platform, and I hope it continues for years to come. Also lmao at 8:30
your uploads are one of the few things that genuinely excite me
marlon brando played mark antony not julius caesar in the 1953 julius caesar movie so this appears to be either a mistake by brando or a misquote by the guardian and as far as i can tell he never played julius caesar anywhere else either i checked just in case bc his role as antony is a fav of mine and everyone should look up his speeches in that movie on youtube theyre fantastic especially cry havoc and brutus is an hoborable man ok im leaving now
Leo this brightened my day so much. Thank you for the behind the scenes content!!!!!!
Hell yeah! I LOVE that Chicory music! Thank you so much for including it.
Dude I love that you or your editors snuck in a song from Chicory: A Colorful Tale. That game is awesome.
Leo I've just discovered something about the "gonzaga" mystery. There's a university in Spokane Washington called Gonzaga University, named after Jesuit missionary Aloysius Gonzaga. Sean Astin was educated in catholic schools on the west coast of the US, so it's likely he was familiar with the school itself or its namesake missionary.
Just found this video randomly yesterday. Love the content, the entertainment has helped a lot with recovery from surgery I had on Wednesday.
You can forget the part in George of the Jungle where “George does the biggest swing in jungle history” and smashes into a tree to save Ursula. That stuntman was my hero in this movie! This daring vine swing will make your heart race!
10:19 is she making a call on a tv remote 😭 god i love analysis vids
Blast from the past is quite a fun watch. I remember it fondly and it holds up decently.
"i did a lot of research but i still think i made it up" most relatable thing to ever happened
you gonna blow up brother keep it going these are incredible
Continue to love what you’re doing leo
This is such an obscure genre, I love it.
Every single line in this video is a joy to listen to. You're the best.
hey you crossed 100k finally, congrats Leo, so well deserved!
I subscribed specifically for the love of Brandon and then the last line..."why would you say that" love your work.
blast from the past is one of my dad’s favorite movies, i watched it so much as a kid and i’ve never heard anyone else talk about it so this video was a real treat!
thank you for the laughs leo, you’re a natural commentator
just wanted to say i love your vids. i've only watched 4 so far but they were all about stuff i watched before, and they were just critical enough to be fun without going into shaming. ngl i might actually rewatch all that stuff again because your vids made me so nostalgic.
Leo your content is hilarious. Can't wait to see much more growth on the channel. You deserve it!
Leo, this was a great video, and it actually makes me want this to be a regular show from you, where you talk about different weird movies each episode! That would be so good! At least I need another episode where you talk about Bedazzled please!!!
Leo your videos are so good
I watched half of "Blast From The Past" on a hospital TV and I had no idea what was going on so this was a big help.
Another great video, Leo! Thank you
I just got done watching all your vids and then you drop this epic!
Dang, I just found this dude’s channel and it is just criminally underrated. You got my sub!
You can tell this is good because the timeline looks like a damn rollercoaster instead of a single peak after a sponsor segment.
your content is of the highest quality! i love your videos and they make me laugh my ass off.
this video made me watch Blast from the Past, and its one of my favorite movies now. thanks.
Man, I forgot Dave Foley was in Blast From the Past. I always forget how much I love that movie, thanks for talking about it!
I stay slumped ever since the pumping accident of '07
i love your videos. so specific and you make the content even more enjoyable. i’m sure i could watch this again and hear different jokes than before. also thank you for highlighting how foine brendan fraser is.
You're awesome man. See you at the big 1 million mark!
This guy never fail to make me laugh. Love his humor so much idk what it is, i cant out a finger on what makes it funny, but im always giggling away at these videos.
I feel like I just got a hit of nostalgia in the ballsack from my childhood. Thanks Leo, haven’t thought about these films in years! Do The Mummy next! The Fraserection will begin!
Subbed at the end of the video and then you hit me with the sick Jakey burn. It all makes sense now.
I love this channel & hope it gets the 500 million subscribers it deserves
I like how the characters get smarter every film
In Encino Man, hes nonverbal and essentially a wild animal
In George of the Jungle, he can talk, though broken, and smart enough to live in society.
In Blast from the Past, hes a fully intelligent human, just a bit naive
You are a bright light in this dark world. Id give you a tenner if I could. Good stuff. 10/10
Goddamn Leo, this is the funniest and most consistent channel on CZcams! nice work!
One of your best videos yet, my bro.
exceptional content Leo, most excellent!
i’ve seen this video so many times and the phrase “we all use everyday” makes me cackle every. time. i get caught off every time with your tone and i just laugh. so good.
Holy shit i never thought i would hear cro-mag rally music casually being used in the background of one of these videos
Bro, I just binged you. Top notch
Slumper in the streets, pumper in the sheets (not sexual in any way)
You're my favorite CZcamsr. Thanks for these videos.
Absolutely one of your best yet. Perfect blend of your irreverent comedy mixed throughout a review? of something I barely knew anything about before
