This is an experimental attempt, utilizing a material that is easily carvable and possesses a texture reminiscent of the avocado seed. However, due to its peculiar shape, only a limited range of designs can be implemented.
Hevea brasiliensis, commonly known as rubberwood, originates from the rainforests of the Amazon region in South America, specifically Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. These trees are typically found in humid forests at lower altitudes, as well as wetlands, riparian zones, forest gaps, and areas affected by human disturbance. The species was introduced to Malaysia by British colonists during the late 1800s. Since then, the rubber industry in Malaysia has experienced remarkable growth.
