Free diving in Gao Halo Tabung cave, Maratua island, Borneo

Gao Halo Tabung cave is one of the attractions of Maratua Island located in the Indonesian part of Borneo.
The cave is something like a Mexican cenote, with the difference that the water in the cenotes is fresh and is part of an underground river system, and the water in Halo Tabunk is salty seawater. The color is blue and the temperature is very refreshing. Sources give different depths of this reservoir. On average, it can be assumed that it is approximately 25m. Due to the location of the cave, approximately 50 m from the sea, the water level naturally depends on the sea tide schedule.
