- I tried a 24hr tropical beach camp out with no food and no water. The weather was super hot, making the challenge that little bit more challenging. I found various things which I wasn't able to identify, so please drop me a comment if you know what they are called.

The feather belongs to the Indochinese Roller. The lesser known brother of the similar Indian Roller. Beautiful birds, but not that uncommon.
Love your videos, please never stop churning out the top-notch content.
Coconut crabs *are* a kind of hermit crab, so there's no good way to tell whether its one or the other until it gets to be larger. But no matter which they are, you can still safely eat them with just a few minutes cooking over the fire. You could even cook them in their own shells if you were feeling a tad macabre.
Ah. Can rest assured knowing ill be enjoyably entertained for the next 50min. Thanks dustin
Thanks Ryan - Legend 👊
Make a smokey fire for the flying and biting bugs
If you hit the pointed end of a coconut on one of those big rocks, repeatedly, it will split the outer husk into 3 equal pieces. Go slowly so you don't expend a lot of energy. Just hit it hard and work slowly! You will be surprised how quickly it comes out. I learned this from a professional! (I watched a monkey do it!) He made it look so easy I had to try it! It is easy! That way, when you drink all the water, you can cut the shell in half and you've got a nice cup from the bottom half!
Next time you get a fish stuck give it some line, let it get itself out then you stand a better chance of reeling it in.
Yes or you could always cut your line and tie a float on the end for later retrievel
Done 50min, loved it. Please friend, I’m still waiting for the 1 week no food no water challenge😭 can also do 2 episode video, 4 days of the first episode then the rest for second episode. Like that u can add more content for the whole week👍🏻
Thanks mate 👍
Can't wait
Love watching these videos before falling asleep❤
The thing that you said it looks like an almond its actually an almond they are quite delicious and if you see yellow ones you can eat the peel and its sweet
If you hook a fish and it hides under a rock, don't force and try to reel it, instead of that just open and release the fishing line for about 15 mins. After that reel until your line is not slack anymore and then hook it again and dont stop reeling until you get the fish on land. Nice video and you are a very friendly person.👍🏻
Why did a scrappy Scottish accent came to my head when that hermit crab bit you! "GET Y'ER GRUBBY MITTS OFF ME HOUSE!" I love my collaspable rods! I have one in my truck and one in my saddle bag of my motorcycle!
Wish u had tried fishing again
I’d give my left coconut to be there!
A bit cold here in Pa.✌️
another great video. Would love to see you do a video with @field days
40:52 yes my man you can eat it thats a one of the type of indian almond and 100% safe to eat....
Hey Dustin just a little tip when you open a coconut do it from the bottom since that bottom side has lesser husk than the top you always open your coconut it will make it easier to open from the bottom. Try it and see if you find it easy for you
Hey one little tip that may help you poke coconuts down is to make the bamboo end kinda like a spear or like a fork and go behind the coconut and twist thats what we used to do back in my homeland
Anyone else getting the feeling that Dustin owns a winter home in Thailand?
😆 I wish!!
Dustin's winter tactic: Be homeless in thailand for a few months, call it survival challenges.
this man deserves so much more folowers
Thanks
Hell no this guy can’t even get no food lmfao
😐
That's my reaction to your coment.@@mariothomas282
I agree, brilliant. Meanwhile, someone who puts strawberries in their ears and mews like a cat, gets a squillion followers.
Good to see you taking it easy on yourself 😉👍🏻
Thanks 👍
It probably means nothing but, just know that you do what I can only dream of. Hope this is as fun in real life as I imagine, even the bad stuff!
I love how the hermit crabs were just hanging out with you watching you open up that coconut ar night.
"Smells like ladieeees" absolutely sent me 😂😂
😆😆😆😆😆
yes it is indeed an almond we call its a bush almond
Tropical Almond
Native to the Queensland coast, the tree grows to 20 metres and produces green to red tapered pods from January to April. Inside is a single elongated almond which can be eaten raw. It has a crisp texture, nutty flavour and high ratio of oil. The pod casing makes good homes for rodents and sand crabs.
Yes
Next. 30 day survival challenge.
Love this thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for filming Dustin. 😁👍🏼
materials in the beach are useful. to make utensils. shelter and so on 😊

Hey man, great to see you still at it. Looks like a really fun adventure.... but tough.
Thanks bro 🙏
You voice makes me to watch the video. 🥰🥰🥰
Love your vids. I spend a bit of time in places like this myself, but not enough. With respect, you remind me of a cross between Frodo and Bear Grylls.
I don't know how to take that haha
@BUSHCRAFTTOOLS well intended. Love your shows. I've just been watching some Australian chap doing the same and thinking, that's not how 'you' do it. For starters he did not make those coconuts look like pencil tips nor drink them with such fervour.
All the best from Hong Kong.
Mint watch for sure you love it out their
Thanks for this wonderful video❤❤

The sound the cicadas make where you are is even more annoying than the ones in the US

Cicadas don't make sound at night. Only at dusk.
Green Almonds on the tree and you are right it was an almond nut
That also looks lime a mexican almond tree. They go from green to like reddish brown then you can eat it. You can eat the nut inside of it too

“24 hr coconut eating challenge”
Hermit crabs are baby coconut crabs.
Many ants taste like lemon... cooking ingredient?
Feather? from a Throat Wobbler Mangrove
Not an almond. It is a fuzzy bit from the former Dr. Livingston.
I found a coconut in the forest near Cornwall
You said that you are on a deserted tropical beach, curious why do I hear cars passing by in the distance.
I also hear boats passing by.
Yes, there were the occasional boats passing which you can hear.
They r hermit crabs. U will know a coconut crab when u see them. Way way bigger
Coconut crabs start off small.

Looks like coconut crabs very yummy meat
Great videos! What knife is that?
I think u should take some bin bags with u and have a tidy up
That can eat bro lots of protein in it one dozen could be your dinner
No im more thinking it was more like a tropical almond it not really the same taste of a regular almond but its better than nothing and for safety roast it after you cracked it it will reduce the amount of toxins in the seed.
on some variety have poison so just be safe.
Better look it up on Google or some book.
But from the tree that are on the video it tge same as a regular tropical almond, but just be safe and learn the plant thoroughly first😅😅😅
Can you eat anything other than sea food or coconut related food in that situation to survive
💗💗💗 ARE HERMIT CRABS TOO SMALL TO EAT
