The Burlington northern Santa Fe had a Christmas train got to see it one time several years ago that was the only time it hasn't passed thru Topeka Kansas since.

Thank you for your efforts! My wife and I went up to Smith's Falls a couple of years ago, set ourselves up in a great position to see the shows, when people pushed their way to the front, then put their kids on their shoulders, completely blocking our view. I sure wish they had some sort of bleachers set up.

The METROLINK train in Southern Ca did the same thing every year they stop in every station for few minutes families and children waiting to see Santa and his Elfs and the singers and the jingles but not any more they blamed it on the budget but it was fun and that fits exactly on (Things that don't exist anymore)

Really nice of the RR to do this. I wonder who the lucky ones are who et to ride in the passenger cars? Are both sides of the train decorated? Lots of work.
Passengers will be anywhere from contest winners who snagged a ride between stops, people who've made a very large donation, to crew personnel and the performing artists. Both sides are decorated and the concert car has a ramp on both sides. This way they can perform on either side, or both sides depending on their stops.

Great shot of the holiday train, no thanks to the ding dong who stood in front of the camera after looking straight at the videographer in question. Always have to be some asshat pulling that kind of crap. Didn’t even bother to say “oops” and step aside. Just stared at Brockville Railfan then turned around to look at the approaching train. Right in front of the camera. Eventually Brockville Railfan did get some great footage of the decorated Christmas train, a wonderful annual Christmas gift from Canada. Just goes to show that not all Canadians (the vast majority of them) are down with their favorite prime minister Justin Trudeau.
As a Canadian, I can honestly tell you that there are not many Canadians left that think blackface sockboy Justin Castro is doing a good job. Most of us can't stand him. And if you're wondering why I called him Castro, just Google side by side images of fidel castro and trudeau. You'll have your answer.

For simplicity sake, unless you *really* want to build up anticipation, viewers should start at 1:00 due to distance and another onlooker stepping into line of sight - not bad mouthing that person, it's understandable, they're all here for this neat spectacle! You adapt and overcome, and take a step or two one way or the other to account for it.
