Hi Alcvin, I've watched the most videos of yours and just wanted to say thank you. I am Japanese and funnily enough, there are not much videos or pages of shakuhachi lessons online in Japanese. So here I am learning shakuhachi in English. haha Again many thanks, hope you keep doing this amazing job and inspire many of us.
This is a whole new thing for me! I didn't know you could play the same note in such different ways! And it's very well explained in this video, I'm going to practice these techniques! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you soooooooo Much Alcvin for all this videos, I love Shakuhachi Flute., and enjoy playing so....could you please add one video with clear and visible hands and fingers's positions for each note? It will help me have a great training times :-) ! All the best,
I have turned a couple of Shakuhachi on a lathe. They are both glue ups made of Brazilian Cherry. They are good and play well. Your instrument is beautiful of bamboo. Are you able to play three octaves? What is the diameter of the bore hole?
