Hi Alcvin, I've watched the most videos of yours and just wanted to say thank you. I am Japanese and funnily enough, there are not much videos or pages of shakuhachi lessons online in Japanese. So here I am learning shakuhachi in English. haha

I have turned a couple of Shakuhachi on a lathe. They are both glue ups made of Brazilian Cherry. They are good and play well. Your instrument is beautiful of bamboo. Are you able to play three octaves? What is the diameter of the bore hole?
