Dennis amicably left A&M while Tommy got dropped. Dennis had ex-Styx manager Irving Azoff to help him get on MCA. Tommy got another manager Bud Prager who got Tommy signed to Atlantic but Ambition tanked

MCA had Tiffany, New Edition, Bobby Brown and the teen pop titans of the 1986-89 period plus Tom Petty who was the cash cow/thorn in the side for the label and he eventually left for Warner Bros. Even MCA did squat for The Who after they returned to the label.

Thank Moses SOMEONE mentioned “Harry’s Hands!” I saw DDY play that tune live, way back in the halcyon days of yore. It’s an excellent and exquisite little ditty. Personally, l dig six out of eight songs on the debut album. “Boys Will Be Boys” always gave me the “d. chills,” and “Fire” is THE WORST cover song ever! Yuck. It even surpasses Lenny Kravitz horrendous cover of “American Woman” by The Guess Who.
    Groovy show, lads.
Cheers from The Big Apple. 🍏

    Your pal and mine,

PS: “Desert Moon” is probably the best DDY solo song.
