- At 183 feet tall, Wildfire is the WORLD'S TALLEST traditional wooden roller coaster! It uses an all (well, mostly) wood structure and all wood track! The only steel is the "top layer" of the track which all traditional wooden roller coasters have! What makes this different from a "hybrid" is that those types of coasters use an all (well, mostly) wood structure but with a completely steel track. This ride is AMAZING! This coaster is everything I could ever want...the terrain is so gorgeous..the huge initial drop- and the long inversion at the beginning?! Ahhhhhhh sweet perfection. Weeeeeeee!

I kind of wanna go on this more than Steel Vengeance just because of the setting it's in and its surroundings. The involvement with the rocks and trees fits perfectly with the RMC aesthetic. Looks so beautiful and really fun!

I like the terrain. It gives it a more thrilling experience.
It's videos like this that make me glad to have bad health that stops me from riding roller coasters these days. That and a fear of heights. But, for those who do ride, I hope you get a chance to ride this one.

I was at Kolmården this summer, for the first time in probably three decades!
It really is a beautiful park, with quite a serene atmosphere, despite the large number of visitors.
I saw the delphinarium-show, rode the cable car (VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!) walked around for hours on end up and down the hills of the park - and, ofcourse, went on Wildfire!
I initially intended to film my ride using my cell phone (because, you know, Instagram), but not only is it not allowed (something I would have ignored).....but in the window of the controll booth they had a small "hall of fame" exhibition of totally obliterated cell phones!! So I reconsidered.
Anyway, it was an AWESOME ride - which I spent most of screaming my head off, and it took me at least half an hour, if not longer, to stop my head from spinning afterwards.
This coaster is a masterpiece.
This ride is intense. I love it. Best one in Sweden together with Balder in Liseberg.
I have ride this one 9 times and I love it.

Now I don't personally like to go one Rollercoasters. But I love watching these videos. Is that weird? Can you blame me though? I have Mild Autism and my fear of heights is the worst, plus I don't like the wind blowing in my face. I'm weird I know
And yes I have tried many times to face all those fears but..I end up crying on the Rollercoaster. So..Guess I'll stick to watching others have fun

That's really cool how it follows the curve of the land. So the supports dont have to be 180 feet tall.

This is not the tallest wooden coaster. But either way it's good.
Daniel Intoccia steel vengeance isn’t a wooden coaster, the structure is wood but the track itself is made of steel making it classified as a steel coaster hence the name steel vengeance. Up to this point I thought Goliath at six flags great America was the tallest wooden rollercoaster in the world.

I will confess, I don't have much coaster experience. I only rode Blackpool's "Big One" for the first time a few weeks ago...

@@CycleMan2200 Researching the comments on this vid I figured this, it wasn't hard: Wildfire has wooden supports and wooden tracks with steel plating so it counts as "wooden", while Steel Vengeance has wooden supports and solid steel beam tracks so it counts as "steel".
Uldis Barbans At 0:16 steel track is in place on wildfire. Looks to me like it used to be a wooden track. Mean streak, now Steel Vengeance, used to be the exact same thing. It was originally an all wooden coaster, wooden supports and a wooden track. The only thing that has changed on it is the track. It’s still used wooden supports, so it’s still considered a wooden coaster.
