I'm sure you are aware....but make sure that heat lamp is super, super well secured. Maybe a strong clamp holding tight on the clip on clamp. Been on a few coop and barn fires due to those. No Reese in this video? She's a star :~)
good tip...I have this one pretty tight.. it is screwed into the side of the wash basin...and that is why the basin is metal and not a cardboard box or anything plastic...I can def. see how someone can burn a house down this way. last night the chicks graduated from the lamp. they don't want it as much so I turned it off and they did just fine. next week it should be in the upper 80s so I can move them into the new coop I built...will show that in next video. :) for those getting g new chicks...be careful of that lamp, it can and will burn your house down!

Ahhh..super good to here that. My mind tends to work in "worse case scenario" mode. Kind of be a blessing and a curse.
