      You can do a BBL with a TT at the same time, but it is a very difficult recovery because you cannot sleep on your tummy, sides or back-- I don't know how patients manage to sleep. I always recommend to do a TT first and then in 6 months have a BBL. I think you get the best results, the lowest complications and an easier recovery this way.

      No sitting for 2 weeks after surgery, then you can sit on a BBL pillow for 2 weeks and then you can sit normally. BUT, this is important--if you find that after these 4 weeks you are still firm in the Butt then I would not sit for another 2 weeks--only on BBL pillow and then after these 6 weeks you can sit normally.

    Hello Dr. William - I understand that the BBL is a popular procedure. But, If I may ask...could you please speak on the Tummy Tuck procedure and if you still perform the same lipo 360 (like in the BBL) along with the TT (TT10).
    I have reviewed a 2 videos on this topic and in one you stated that the patient wanted a BBL but you told her she did not need it and instead to get the TT10 (lipo 360 same as the BBL).
    Then in a video maybe a year after that you stated that you could or that it isn't a good idea to have lipo to the abdomen with a TT because of it restricting blood to the scar and may cause necrosis.
    Please clarify this because I am scheduled with you to have the TT10 (same lipo as the BBL).
    Also could you speak on lipo to the pubic mons?!
    Thanking you in advance.

    • @DrWilliamMiami
      @DrWilliamMiami  Před 2 lety +5

      Sometimes it is confusing because all the terms are separated like saying lipo360 and BBL. A BBL INCLUDES lipo 360. But the bottom line is you can have a TT/BBL performed together at the same time, or have a TT/10, or have a TT2 and then 6 months later a BBL.

      With most of these diet suggestions, good or bad, they are not usually that important because you need much higher doses of whatever substance is in the food; so it's not usually an issue. Patients don't eat 32 papayas after surgery so a few slices is not going to have any affect.

The reason why is bc they really don’t know how! Its not really an exact science. My best advice ignore tht feeding the fat myth. Keep your weight stable. And get a personal trainer to show you how to work out with out losing your booty. Also find ppl on CZcams who have maintained their results and follow their regimen

    Doesn't smoking mess with the anesthesia process?

    • @DrWilliamMiami
      @DrWilliamMiami  Před rokem +1

      Smokers have more mucus production so there is an added risk of a mucus plug blocking an airway. A smoker's airway is also more reactive meaning a higher risk of laryngeal spasm as well. For longterm smokers COPD is a problem and in those cases we defer their surgery because that interferes with their oxygen levels in their blood.
